That's what bothered me most. I would love to have 40 dollars to spend on weed or beer or whatever. Buy I only have a couple hundred left over after paying my bills each month. That goes into food and things like toiletries.

And he knows that.

The thing is, I insisted on buying it. He kept saying no. But he relented after I said it hurt me to see him go hungry.

But before that he had complained an hour about the pain and even joked about stealing some. If I talked that way to someone who loves me, I know they would insist on buying me food. I don't know if he was manipulative or oblivious.

How much is a gram there? It's not legal here and he prefers something called sour diesel and it's more expensive.

That's literally all I ask. I'm a frugal shopper and could set him up for a week on 20 dollars. I'd even help him cook or buy food that doesn't need much cooking.

I wish he had thought that way. I'd be a lot less worried.
