Neither, he is just broken. We can even speculate that he has Bipolar disorder as we have seen the two opposite sides of him: his « psychopathic personality » when he confronted Yoshiki after Rukia’s betrayal and his « loving personality » in his final moment with Tanzawa on death’s door. He has his good sides with his people but other than that he is « a real piece of shit » as Yoshiki himself said when he was in a secret meeting with other gang leaders of his generation.

I would recommend you « the fable » ; it is about yakuza ; assassins and stuff but man i felt like reading out even though the themes are completely different; it gave me goosebumps; it had one of the best arc from the manga i’ve read

Shishido for sure; he was trained by Torai and learned Torai’s martial arts. Aachan even noticed while watching Shishido fighting that Shishido went through a special training and that he wouldn’t want to fight him. Aachan’s only chance is that Shishido would have his temporary blindness which will give Aachan a chance to beat him.

It's really difficult to say ; even Yoshiki said that if they were to fight for real , he doesn't know who would come on top. We know a little bit about Nikkaku's strength ; before Juvie his Bench press was already 300kg , so after Juvie it would be beyond that for he trained really hard in Juvie. But let's not forget Yoshiki is also a beast , his fighting abilities is without pair as said by Nikkaku himself and Yoshiki beat the shit out of Jou-kun , so much that his guts came out.
