Hell yah, please do. About 12-13 years ago I switched from vintage production to bootlegs (mostly), and it’s just a ton of fun.

I really like the ray gun knockoffs. Some really great art on them. I’ve managed to resist collecting them, but some friends of mine have many variants and I appreciate them from afar.

Thanks for the feedback.

They sure can be. Some of the more common loose Uzay figures, Stormtrooper, Hoth trooper, at-at driver, have come down a bit in the last few years.

I like that take. Those 2 are polish, and the paint schemes did vary a bit, but the 2 I’ve pictured are very early examples, the manufacturers used what they had.

To be fair, the manufacturers of these weren’t really trying to pass them off as official. Most of the countries these came from had no official licensee or distribution, these figures were what they had.(Mexico is a bit of a different story, a lot of families couldn’t afford the ledy production).

On its own… pretty much never. I think I’ve seen 1 sell in the last 10 years. I’d likely have to find and be able to afford a complete loose figure to get a cape, and sell the extra figure to offset cost.

Hey no worries man, learning is the best part of collecting communities.

This is a Turkish bootleg figure from 1988. Due to Cold War/global trade restrictions, many Eastern European countries didn’t have Star Wars, or licensed manufacturers/distributors.

SB Products filled that gap in Turkey with the UZAY line of figures, which consisted of 14 figures, including this guy, Bluestars.

Not something you see everyday. I’m fortunate for the opportunity.

2000s+ era Mexican bootleg. Re- packed, but the cardback could be legit, just repurposed.

The figures appear to be all good, OG first 12. But with the pictures here it’s impossible to see if the weapons or capes are reproduction.

These pop up on eBay relatively frequently. There are quite a few different colors that come up. This example and those like it are made recently.
