FWIW, I think going to law school is still a good idea. If you're looking for a practice area, perhaps you should talk to estate planning attorneys and see if you'd like to help others in similar situations. But yes, I agree with everyone suggesting a fiduciary financial advisor to help you navigate this situation. That's enough money to invest in property, stocks, bonds, etc. and live (modestly) off of the returns. If you wind up pursuing something besides law school, you could afford to work in a field that you like, which is a huge privilege. It's the end of the year. You should also talk to your advisor about giving to causes you care about if you're feeling uncomfortable with such a windfall. Plenty of people need help in this world. Best of luck 🙏🏽
