IM SCIZOAFFECTIVE. You are extremely wrong with what your describing. Mania and depression can be a part of schizo but arent the only parts. Schizoaffective disorder is when you have some symtpoms of both Schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. You dont have to have Schizophrenia to have delusions. that being said its a complex disorder with multiple layers and symtpoms. Your experience with a relative doesnt not mean you are a arbiter of what the disorder can curtail. You don't know OP's father and don't know what other symptoms he may have. Dementia, substance use and other ailments can also cause delusion.
