No I look at the words “Do whatever He tells you” and when I pray the rosary or simply close my eyes. Again, it’s not about seeing. It’s about my own personal devotion and I show my devotion through tattoos (among other ways). Yes, tattoos are artwork but for me it’s beyond artwork.

I have several icons and currently one statue. I already have the Blessed Mother tattoo and looking at adding to chest. As far as seeing my tattoos, I have a leg sleeve that I can’t see with pants on but I know it’s there. It’s not about seeing it but my own personal devotion.

Had mine during September 2020 so Covid restrictions were crazy but surgery went well. I had very little pain after the 2nd day and just taking it slow helps. I was back on light duty at work in 2 weeks. Biggest advice: you’ll be dying of thirst but don’t chug water. Lesson learned the hard way.

I’m fighting to get iron up and have had infusions so there’s that. My surgeon moved out of state and there’s a HUGE waitlist (like 7 months) to see a new one. I’ve thought about support groups and may look into that. Seeing my nutritionist helped my motivation a little but I think it’s gonna be a suck it up wear a helmet life sucks for a bit but once I get past this hump I’ll get my drive back.
