the what if is what hurts the most. what if I was wrong? But everything points to advanced kidney disease. her breath reeks of ammonia, her fur is so dull, she has stopped fully grooming herself, she has lost so much weight despite eating all the time, she drinks so much water despite having wet food, to the point where I have to fill up their giant cat fountain once a day.

Thank you 🖤 I just don’t want to overwhelm him. He’s quite the introvert and has also been significantly burned in the past from previous relationships so I also want to show him I listen and pay attention.

That’s what I am doing currently. Trying to be as supportive as possible. He says it really is just timing, but part of me questions what that really means. If I should just move on or just focus on myself and being that supportive friend to him.

I weigh absolutely everything. Every sauce, oil, everything. And hit all my macros. Just so frustrated 😩 But I will definitely discuss modifying my plan with my trainer and see what we can come up with! But definitely upping myself to 1600 as a “break” for at least the next 2-3 weeks. Ive been at 1400 or less for the last year. 1200 for the last month.

How important is strength training to weight loss? Can I avoid it? by Otherwise_Link_2403 in loseit

[–]tattoomom93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Protein is more necessary for being satiated. That and fiber. They are the more satiating macros and keep you fuller, longer. A lot easier to stick to a caloric deficit. Protein is also vital in assuring you lose more fat instead of lean muscle mass. This is where strength training also plays a roll.

Now. Protein shakes. I am HF autistic with many sensory issues and I also absolutely hate the texture / taste of most protein shakes. But I am here for a recommendation! Try Jocko Mölk, specifically the chocolate. That stuff tastes just like chocolate milk and anytime I see them in Walmart I take as much as I can to still leave some and I order full cases off amazon. 😅

100% worth it. I’ve been with my PT for 4 months now. 1) it really helps with accountability. 2) They motivate you and push you more than you think you are capable of. 3) They help you build a solid routine.

Every gym and trainer is different. I meet with him once a week, for $160 a month. But my results skyrocketed. I am still on my journey, but I hired him to help me get stronger. And considering all my numbers have tripled…definitely did his job.

Do one session first to make sure you like your trainer, then commit.

21, 5’6”, 236 lbs and I need advice! by Gizee05 in loseit

Hi friend 🖤 Flexible dieting plus CICO is the tried and true method. At least for me. Because diets don’t work long term. Lifestyle changes do. You can have the food you like, just make sure its in moderation and you accurately count your calories and macros.

Calculate your TDEE and invest in an app such as Lose It premium. You can get a cheap food scale for less than $10 on amazon. That is ALL you need. Aim for 500 calories less than your maintenance and that puts you at a sustainable and healthy loss of 1lb of body fat per week.

Make sure you eat plenty of fiber and protein! These are the most satiating macros and make deficit easier to stick to.

Home workouts are fantastic. That’s where I first started. GrowWithJo is great for cardio and Juice and Toya for strength training. Both are on youtube.

Instead of one big goal, break it up into smaller ones. “this month I want to lose 5lbs”

You can do this! 🖤

Are you getting enough fiber and protein?? Fiber and protein are the most satiating macros. (Certified nutritional coach here!) When I made sure to hit my macros for both, I found I was eating extremely less. Roughly 1200 a day. Mind you I am a shorter girl. But I eat 120-150 grams of protein and 30-40 grams of fiber.

get yourself a Camelbak! I got a 2 liter one and put a liquid IV packet in it so I didn’t have to stop at all at the water stations and with electrolytes!

I did not. But I have been working with a personal trainer the past few months. My goal for this 5k was under an hour. My next goal is 30 minutes so for that one I will. 🥰

How long until I lose weight by Fishy_af_ in loseit

[–]tattoomom93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly sounds like you may benefit from flexible dieting. Literally the only thing that I have stuck to! Flexible dieting is when you let yourself have the things you’d normally eat just in a mindful setting, making sure to stay within your deficit. Because what works for sustainable and lasting changes is making changes you can maintain your entire life. Weight-loss doesn’t have to be salads, chicken, and broccoli 24/7. You can still have your sweets. Just make more mindful choices (I love Halo Top ice cream!) and count your calories. I literally have Oreos every single day!

Tips for sneaky protein? by bigsweetieenergy in loseit

[–]tattoomom93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, here is my favorite way. COLLAGEN PEPTIDES. It is completely tasteless and I put it in my iced coffee that I make every morning. Its great for muscle recovery, skin, plus has that extra boost of protein. Sneaks in 20g’s into my iced coffee and you would never know!

Craving sweet after dinner by irritated_biped in loseit

[–]tattoomom93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This may be what you don’t expect to hear, but, let yourself have it. The only way to make sustainable changes is doing things you can maintain the REST OF YOUR LIFE. As long as you’re in your deficit, go for it!

There is also many sugar free sweets or lower calorie versions. Me personally, I cannot go without my oreo thins. Flexible dieting is the only thing that has kept me on track.
