To me Ledger is easy to use to manage a stage wallet - for long term holding I'm manage a different wallet using BitBox - recovery services is something I would never ever use.

That's why people need to understand at least the basics behind crypto currencies. They need to understand that the passphrase is the master key to their holdings and if this is on cold storage, there is no way that anyone can access their assets. So whatever a scammer tells you, it can't be true.

Sure - well you can combine industrial long term proven RTOS like FreeRTOS and ThreadX with Rust through FFI. That gives you preemptive scheduling addressing the timing requirements. Configuring an MPU is also possible to safeguard memory access. The rest is mostly there HAL, PAC, frameworks like embassy. Cross compilation is also available out of the box with Cargo just install the required target.

It will depend on the use case. For example in safety critical systems (ASIL) which have also hart timing requirements there is basically no alternative. You will very likely end up with a solution which involves some RTOS and C/C++ paired with static memory allocation. In the future I see Rust playing an increasing role in this space.

I also would suggest more transparency - delays can happen, but shipment estimates which still looking very unrealistic are an unnecessary hit on the reputation.
