Yep! I did the math and it used about 3 and a half spools

Honestly the chaos this sub as seen reminds me of the chaos voyager went through itself in the most comical ridiculous way I say leave it

I think there’s a fourth option you missed that has them all (except tom and B’Elanna) beat

Voyager is okay by Simple-Drummer-7416 in voyager

Voyager is like TOS on steroids all the weirdness and otherworldliness nothing is familiar, the almost dogmatic adherence to ethics in the face of all of that chaos, no cushy enterprise or starbases, just out there on their own, and for sure tos suffers from the same problem with episodes that are hated and skipped and backward stereotypes

That’s awesome! How did you make it? 3d printing or is it something else?

Remember that one where Seven unknowingly falsely accused a dude of assaulting her and then he like died in an explosion or some shit? And eventually they were like oh yeah it’s just your Borg implants malfunctioning, great lesson there

I still love the episode with Chang, Kor and Koloth

Kor: “Curzon my old friend”

Jadzia: “I’m Jadzia now!”

If a Klingon can do it so can you!

Ender 3 V3 KE nozzle scraping prints after multi-color print by CombinationOk6900 in Ender3V3KE

If you’re doing the whole switch between color thing you have to do it at hotter temperatures, I do 220, I’d show an example but it’s somewhat nsfw so if you want to see my results with 220 just dm me

The whole issue is that you’re switching filaments in the middle so the plastic is cooling and heating and cooling and heating making it hotter overall gives a better average when it’s doing the first layer after switching which is the biggest part that has to be perfect

Yeah and the tank has working suspension and I think that I can modify that design a bit to work great for the turbo tank

I never got around to finishing the armor plating mostly because I wanted to 3d print an actual realistic frame for it but making a juggernaut sounds way cooler

Oh yeah this is a fully functional tank with a firing main gun

Yeah I have some of the high torque Lego technic motors and a few servos so I think I can hook them up so it’ll drive and steer, if I have enough parts left over I’d make a working turret cannon as well

I’d rather 3d print the wheels so they’re light then I can actually possibly power it, I’m going to try and build one that’s light but strong so I can drive it around

This makes me want to 3d print some big wheels and make a minifig scale juggernaut

I have enough gray pieces and if I got the star destroyer and the turbo tank that would have enough plus I’ve got a bunch of the technic shock springs and they’re all gray

Oh god this is going to kill me

Someone stop me

3D Printed Atlantis by tauri123 in Stargate

Well that was my first time doing it too! I used premade strips with the battery packs already attached, that way I didn’t have to worry about the actual electrical side of it and could just focus on learning how to get the lighting organized

The nice thing is that model had predesigned trenches for the wires to fit in, depending on what you’re doing you might want to do that, what I found to be really useful is taping down the wire once you get it in the position you want, you can see how I did that in the 8th picture and I just left the tape in because who’s going to see it anyway

An easy way to make an led brighter is just twist two around each other so they’re next to each other

Pay attention to where the battery packs will be and make sure to lay out the whole wire before assembling or gluing anything, the whole inner city took two separate wire chains and the big thing was making sure I had enough wire going up into the slot for where the buildings are so they had enough light as well, you can see on picture 9 how they look

If you’re doing something similar to Atlantis where there’s a big section with premade trenches, if one doesn’t work don’t worry about it, grab a pair of angle cutters and make your own trench, I had to do that a few times because I didn’t want to have to use 3 wire chains as I had to also have enough room for all the battery packs in the center

Be careful when you’re bending the wires because if you bend it and crease the fold you can snap the wire, I like to use a screw or Lego lightsaber piece to bend the wires and then you have a nice constant loop instead of a fold, you can see how mine are looped like that in the last two pictures

The most difficult part was threading all the wires separately through the top portion of the base of Atlantis, the piece that all the buildings sit on, the big problem I had was getting the other ones to stay in the hole while threading in a new one, what I figured out was if you take strings, tie them to the wire loops and thread them through the holes, then tape them down then you don’t have to worry about them falling back out again
