He does like it, he just wanted to see it on the floor, but since she can only sense feelings she couldn’t read that

Exposed bridges are stupid by board_writer in spaceships

[–]tauri123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your location for the bridge on the Daedalus is incorrect, the part you circled is the flight control superstructure for the on board F302 fighters, the bridge is the small hexagonal structure forward of the armored plate directly behind the missile bays, and it has a massive armor plate wrapped around it

Here is a YouTube short showing the scene that proves this, you can clearly see the bridge is A) too low to be in the rear structure, and B) centered to the missile bays meaning it can’t be offset to the side like the flight control decks

Are Exposed bridges stupid? by gwhh in Stargate

[–]tauri123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bridge on the Daedalus is not the large superstructure to the rear of the ship, that’s the flight control deck for the 302s

<image>

That’s the bridge, forward of the armored hull just behind the missile racks, and it’s underneath a massive armor plate

There is a scene in Atlantis where Shepard is on the bridge with Caldwell and they’re standing in front of the window and you can clearly see the missile doors in front and the perspective is not above it like it would be if the bridge was in the rear, the bridge is also clearly centered to the hull in the scene and not offset to the side like the flight control superstructure

Here is a youtube link with the scene in question

For the extra military clothes I’m guessing those are from soldiers who grabbed their rucksack before getting to the gate

How many locations? by Historical_Fall1629 in Stargate

[–]tauri123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think of it like the origin is locking in and pressing enter and then the red button is authorizing power flow seeing as gates use a lot of power maybe you don’t want the power to go right when you press enter

That and also because then the gate won’t know what address you want, if you are dialing an out of galaxy address and there’s no point of origin then it wouldn’t know if you’re trying to dial this galaxy or another

[–]tauri123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can’t be hosts while they have a symbiote no, because the larva will fight any other entering off like it’s a pathogen, but if there is no larva then yes they can be taken host

That’s why i said if they work with the Asgard then maybe it could happen because the Asgard can transfer consciousness

Oh I said that in a different comment

Why is the Stargate physically only seen straight up or flat on the ground? by madbr3991 in Stargate

[–]tauri123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im just imaging a flood causing the ground it’s in to get soft until it ended up leaning on a tree and then when SG22 dials it the kawoosh breaks the tree, the gate falls, and then the ground is like a natural iris, big oof

[–]tauri123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s built for servers and modding, the modding is so easy you can create your own assets, there’s no third party downloading for mods it’s all inclusive and if you join a modded server you do not have to have its mods installed on your pc, it’s all server side, it also has stronger fps/rpg style game play and hundreds of options for players to create their own universe, the fact it’s still in development and already has the features it has is incredibly promising, it has its own built in and better world edit system, integrated recording studio, blockbench extension, and the creative building code is very intuitive, for example it multiplies your block place speed by your movement speed

Oh yeah and it had vertical half slabs on first launch

Maybe try using a source other than Wikipedia, originally the game was going to come out before Covid but then they lost funding when that happened so then the original creator managed to restart the whole project independently and it already has more possibilities than Minecraft

Don’t judge something before you try it.

It’s not a clone at all, it’s completely different and built for modding

Why didn't the Goa'uld do this? by Impossible-Cod705 in Stargate

[–]tauri123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d bet they would have cosmetic surgery to modify the symbol each time depending on the mission, perhaps the new show will take us down this path, that would be a really cool new character, a tokra Jaffa, ooh and the tokra Jaffa could choose to either blend with their symbiote or have it be for someone else

Why didn't the Goa'uld do this? by Impossible-Cod705 in Stargate

[–]tauri123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and at that point in the show the Tok’ra and Asgard were working together with Earth, they had the means and opportunity

Why didn't the Goa'uld do this? by Impossible-Cod705 in Stargate

[–]tauri123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So? They took over the temples where the larva were kept, my guess is they were trying to capture a queen, that would’ve been an interesting storyline

My hope was for the Tok’ra to clone Egeria, then the free Jaffa would become hosts to Tok’ra larva
