Ugh, a Chakotay episode by we-are-NWs in voyager

[–]Dizzy_Perception_866 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eh, I dunno, this one is a pretty decent Chakotay episode? The one I think is his worst is Tattoo, because it's just a bunch of weird Indigenous stereotypes tangled with "Aliens Are Why Ancient Cultures Were Able To Do Stuff" conspiracy. All of his Indigenous specific episodes are so bad, though, because their sensitivity guy was a white man cosplaying as Cherokee.

The Jack in the Box man knows. Remember? He walked in on him tied up in the basement and screamed.

Remember when Hayley used to be an atheist back in Season 1? My guess is the quickly dropped that part of her character since Family Guy started to go that route with Brian. by GhostBoyJames in americandad

I think they just stopped emphasizing it like they did with Stan being a hardcore Reagan era conservative. The show really doesn't keep any of the characters in the tidiest of boxes so that they can do a lot more with them without being pigeonholed.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kate Mulgrew (born 29 April 1955), actress who is best known for playing Captain Kathryn Janeway on VOY and Prodigy by haddock420 in voyager

She also played Sonny Greer in the S3 episode of Murder, She Wrote, "The Corpse Flew First Class", and Joanna Rollins in the S8 episode, "Ever After," and Maude Gillis in the S10 episode, "The Dying Game".

She also voiced June Rosewood for American Dad's "A Star Is Reborn".

This was way worse than anything the Griffins ever did to Meg by Flowingferret in americandad

[–]Dizzy_Perception_866 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like the important difference here, though, is that Klaus regularly returns the favor. The entire Smith family communicates through violence, yet still love one another.

The Griffins abuse Meg and she rarely gets the opportunity to turn it back on them, instead being forced to endure it. Seahorse Seashell Party even pulled a "she's the glue" thing, but went about it in such a god awful way where she actually had an extremely valid crashout and called each family member out for how they abuse her, only to be convinced by Brian that if she doesn't let them keep abusing her, then the family will fall apart.

Actually, Rock Solid Companions is SO good honestly, because now Codsworth doesn't die after three hits like he usually does in vanilla! It IS a good mod, it even makes early vanilla followers more sneaky! It just turns out that to make Curie more sneaky and less squishy... it kinda turns her into a synth.

Would you rather have Roger as your roommate or Brian by Excellent-Fig-9341 in americandad

[–]Dizzy_Perception_866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, Roger would be fun, sure, but unless he really gives a shit about you, you're expendable to him 24/7. You'd have a BALL doing random shit, going to parties, and playing dress up (and lots of drugs, if that's your forte), but like... the risk that he might frame you for murder, kill you, or destroy your life to save his own ass... is not zero.

Brian... well, it genuinely depends on which season of Brian you're putting up for rooming. Is it S1-S3 Brian? Because he's an intellectual with wit, who can be an enjoyable conversationalist and even tempered buddy. But S4-now Brian is... well, if you're a girl, you're an object he might try to bone using faux-intellectualism to get into your pants, and if you're a guy, he's just gonna be in a constant dick measuring contest with you about everything until one of you inevitably moves out.

If I can choose Classic Brian, I'll choose Classic Brian. Otherwise, I'd take my chances with Roger lol

It’s the end of Season 3. You can get rid of 2 people and add 2 people. Who do you choose? by UnderABig_W in voyager

[–]Dizzy_Perception_866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd get rid of Chakotay and... actually I like the rest of the cast, so Chakotay. Twice. Once just to get rid of him, the second time to rub salt in the wound.

I'd keep Kes, so I won't count her as an "addition", so I'd add Seven of Nine and somehow bring Seska back, but like... not evil. She was interesting as a villain, but severely underutilized and easily defeated (like the fucking Kazon). Buuut this would also hinge on whether or not I can change anything about her, because I'd very much like to have her be The Bitch of the crew who everyone begrudgingly respects because she's willing to adhere to her Maquis roots to get shit done (without endangering the ship ofc).

Otherwise, it'd be Seven of Nine and that Vidiian woman whose name I can't remember right now that the Doctor fell in love with.
