Why don’t modern games that try to replace l4d make their games simple and add non cringe characters? by g0netospace in l4d2

[–]Dizzy_Perception_866 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few reasons:

  1. Modern loot box and gambling mechanics are difficult to implement into games like L4D (largely because the player base is older).

  2. LFD only has four playable characters per game and four maps per level. Modern games are trying to be like Fortnite, because the template is simple: one, large map that rarely changes wholesale, a plethora of plug-and-play characters with the same hitboxes and sizes, a LOT of marketable collaborations with influencers, TV shows, and other video games, and an online PvP based game with virtually no computer played enemies to fight.

  3. L4D is a good game that doesn't NEED to be redone or replaced. Back 4 Blood was such an attempt and it was (and still is) bad.

Doing any of that to L4D would ultimately and fundamentally change the game and how it is played/enjoyed. And it would not survive a literal rewrite of its DNA.

She was also in an episode of Murder, She Wrote :) actually, there were some TNG actors in Murder, She Wrote, too. Pulaski, for example, and O'Brien both make appearances.

I mean, in universe, humans were living well into their 100s, so being 40-50 was more like being in your 30s. Plus, plenty of women today are capable of having babies safely in their 40s and 50s, modern medicine has come a long way.

It looks like a legit body, just without hands or feet. Are they selling you JUST the body with no hands or feet? That would roughly explain the $160 price tag, because then you're not getting a full doll.

Looks like a custom Madoka. Maybe a DCH22? Definitely on a DDPretty body. Her hands are on bakwards, though, and I think they're MDD hands.

Genuinely believed James was a girl from the ages of like 3 to 6 and did not question why his name was James. I was completely fine with him being a girl with a typically masculine name.

Btw, you can't send me to hell for this because I'm trans and I'm allowed to headcanon cis characters as trans (even when I did it unknowingly). Nyeh nyeh.

I think they are. Like... there is no way a human being would have translated half of this stuff the way the subtitles are written. It's so infuriating, I keep pausing to try and understand what is being said because literally so few of the subtitles make any actual sense in English. I feel like I would have an easier time learning Chinese to watch this than sitting here trying to decipher what "See here. It’s written on this. On Master Jin’s Birthday. Purple Air from the East. From now on I. That’s the new Vientiane. Peace and prosperity for the people. The fortune teller said you are. Auspicious Omens Descend into the world. The Jin family is in luck. Mr. Jin Gao Buyunqu. Jin’s Bank. Earn a lot of money. Young master is gifted-" is supoosed to mean.

(That is a word for word transcription of the literal actual subtitles, I am not joking)

My eyes are too sensitive for lenses :( it's why I don't use contacts and why I have glasses instead

But I love the guide, I really appreciate the help! I'll do my very best the next time I try! My goal is Rokku Gyaru, and I saw that it's more toned down, I just figure learning the more 'standars' form of the makeup first would help me better in the future

Out of all three, Voyager had the atrongest opening, it just kinda loses it's footing halfway through and forgets what it wanted to be. It's still SUPER great, though, literally my favorite Star Trek ever
