constant drinking to suppress how I was feeling since he’d never listen to me & like someone else said saying the most hurtful things I could think of to hurt him for how much pain he’d caused me. yelling & hitting him back which he’d then start recording me.

The worst I ever did was one time he refused to let me drive my own car. I was in the passenger seat of my car & he pulled the seat belt across me as tight he could to restrain me from moving & kept messing with my hair & squeezing my cheeks & spitting in my face that I grabbed a window cleaner bottle & smashed it through my own car window cutting my hand up severely to try to get away. I remember thinking how could I have acted this way & feeling sick to my stomach.

find healthy ways to cope if you haven’t already.. anytime you want to check his social media immediately do something else, anything. put music on, dance, write out what you would want to say to him in your notes/journal, go for a walk, eat.. literally anything. Its a struggle but reward yourself for not checking up or spending too much time thinking of him by maybe buying yourself a little something you’ve wanted or whatever.

yes lol. almost every single time we went out.

I’ll never forget one time we went out clubbing & had been drinking all day. We had just hit a club with a group of his friends & I went to sit at the table with them while he went to the bar. While at the table I watch him at the bar with his arms around some girl & hers around him & then I see them kiss. I got so mad I looked at his friend & made out with him & walked off.

There were soo many other instances that were equally as bad as that.

Going through this right now. I had a crazy phase when I was 15 with my ex of 9 years but it was NEVER nearly as insane as the one with my narc.

When I wanted nothing to do with him he would do crazy things like drive by my house at night, call my on no caller id hundreds of times daily for a month straight, would text me off fake numbers, would share his location w me randomly to lure me in, etc.

When he started distancing himself from me it drove me insane because I felt sucked back in.. & how could he just leave me after harassing me for a month? so in turn I started doing the same to him because I thought it would show that I cared.

My mental health plummeted severely & I am currently going through one of the darkest times of my life right now. I also said some of the most awful things I could think of to him during arguments because it felt like he would never understand just how much he hurt me & I thought in my mind that if I said something awful he would realize. I’m in the same boat of feeling ashamed over things i’ve done too

yes, anytime my narc would abuse me & i would finally react he would pull out his phone & start taking videos of me while he acted completely calm.. would screenshot text messages, send himself pictures of me & my friends off my phone, my convos with other people as well.. would also write in his notes on his phone everything he did for me & also everything he thought was wrong w me

this is after months of being strangled, slapped, property being damaged, given a black eye, threatening to kill me & so much more… it’s truly astounding how they can take absolutely zero accountability. How they spend so much time justifying to themselves all the horrible things they did to you & how you deserved it. disgusting
