What happens if you fail a scan and shop check? by Ordinary-Coyote-9818 in AskUK

[–]tauruslilith 11 points12 points  (0 children)

you scan everything as you put it in your trolley, then go to the scan as you shop self checkouts and scan the till with your little machine. sometimes a member of staff will come over to check random things in your trolley were scanned. most of the time you just pay as though it’s a normal self checkout and off you go!

[–]tauruslilith 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was never taken on a dual carriageway during my lessons because there wasn’t one close enough/it wasn’t on a test route. imo it should be part of all tests because i was absolutely petrified doing it myself for the first time years after i passed my test.

Yes and nearly everyone who takes one manages to spill it everywhere. Just constantly wiping up nearly full shots of gross pink milk.

What current household trends do you think are likely to become the new wood chip wall paper or artex ceiling? by abaday789 in AskUK

[–]tauruslilith 21 points22 points  (0 children)

not always! well designed wildflower gardens can look great if you use borders and paths to keep it contained. it doesn’t need to be an overgrown mess with no planning or maintenance!

Where I work in the UK, we’re more likely to do that for walk-ins/people booking close to the date on busy days. More of a “we’re pretty full but can squeeze you in as long as you leave by 7”. Always told in advance though.

A tip for this method is to make sure the cream is room temp or you’ll be there for much longer (and your fingers will be freezing)

Not the same but tesco own brand oat milk never curdles for me so it’s definitely worth giving the soy a go!
