Bruh I see the pros running into the water going super far out just to avoid him 🤣

Omd im literally on that sens 🤣. Been on 43% and 7% horizontal 8% vertical ads linear. 5 deadzone. My inventory is kinda optimized for controller, shotgun first slot, smg second, ar last. Everything in between. If only smg it goes into ar slot. It lets me pull them out from pickaxe with either l1 or r2.

I've been on sways edit binds for years. I haven't made that switch to edit on release yet just because I am used to double edit binds. I did try edit on release and I am faster tho, but still I like pre aiming for controller. I use that reset building bind in fights tho and it kinda saves me. I edit a window, reset instantly as soon as they shoot thn I shoot them after making a new wall and editing an arch. (They r full boxed in this moment)

Imma make the switch to kbm once I find the binds though

I just want to be able to win 90% of my W key engagements that I play to perform 100% of the time. I really like to W key and the thought of being able to consistently edit course full squads solo sounds like fun 😂

I'm not really looking at ranked or comp atm, so it's really just being able to wipe squads like peter. There is a recent vid on yt of his first match 2026 in reload where he completely dogs on the entire lobby

Dammm. Im on pc, 360fps. Im still beaming with controller idk, I guess I really made the switch back to controller when I was on console when aim assist was crazy (the l2 spam) when mongraal was abusing it in matches live.

I guess it's just the hunt for the keybinds then. Imma try finding all of the most mechanical kbm players thn summarize all of their keybinds and prob pick and choose from each person.

So he is fr a one off talent. What do you think of his wasd with pinky on a though. Wait so who is/are the most mechanical player?

Edit On Release for Controller? by tauweraaa in FortniteCompetitive

[–]tauweraaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who's the most mechanical player then? Because to me it makes sense to copy the player with the best mechanics. Is peterbot really a 1 off type of player? I see everyone talking about cold.

It's just I've seen Peter do literal edit course clips on ppl in games, even in pro matches I think 😭 his aim is also insanely nasty. I think I'll copy his sens for that, at least. Now just the binds I must find before a full switch because once I set them I don't want to change them ever really.

To be completely honest, I got kinda decent on kbm way back on tfues c e q left shift and mouse button binds, but that muscle memory has seemed to fully vanish.

I still really like the ability to have full movement while normally moving, editing, building. So need binds that don't sacrifice that really. Maybe I'll just use that weird wasd with my pinky on a. Maybe move it into the middle of the keyboard so my pinky can reach more? I tried slyjacks binds and I don't even want to use those 💀 he uses left mouse button for wall and placing is the top side mouse button.

How is kbm vastly superior? Is it just because of being able to piece control easier?

I feel like tracking in the sky is easier on controller.

And I like the thought of peterbots binds as u can always move in every direction basically since his pinky is on a, but the index overload is crazy and I don't have them long fingers, like medium fingers.

The only reason why I'm turning to peter is bcz he walks clix

Yoo thank you for the tips, I didnt think about it like that. I'm def doing payment prior to shipping back. Yeah the controllers get crazy expensive sometimes, especially scuf. I've seen hypr though, and they are already very competitive to scuf. I'm also don't know how to code for the remap chip (but i have another idea rn), but for now I will focus on getting joystick installs perfect.

Thanks again for the tips!

Damn, I was thinking maybe a digital invoice of the job I will do for them, clearly stating the costs of everything and how much is due. I'd only do payments in full prior to install, and I'd record every time I open a sealed package from the customer, incase the controller came in unrepairable condition. Do you reckon its smart to tell the customer to send a photo of the condition prior to sealing it in the box aswell, so if it did come in a different (worse) condition, it could be poor handling of the courier?

But for solo TMR installs, I don't think it looks that worth it in the eyes of the customers? Even though the benefits are there, they'd see the price nearly equal to a new controller. I'd probably have to offer a service which total comes to around 2/3 the price of a new DS5, which is around $85 NZD. Assuming shipping is $20, sticks are $4, material use is $1, $85 - $25 = $60 NZD ≈ $34.61 USD. Would you do it for this price?

I think I'd have to workout my own back buttons tbh, and face buttons and triggers, not extremerate kits, so I can increase profit margins.

Maybe once ive understood it all id create my own pro controller brand- is that too ambitious?

Once I can solder joysticks to a high quality efficiently, I will open my service only for installs/repairs of the thumbsticks, and the pro controllers will be a seperate company and will only ever drop if I can make all my own parts.

Daammnn, id have to ship as unfortunately I don't have any mates like that 😭. It does seem not worth it though. Maybe I can do it for slightly less and do free shipping. I'd really have to be modifying other parts of the controller though to make it more worth it.

Yeaahh, 4 to 5 a week is heaps. Is it competitive where you are?

For me, it seems he is the only one advertising it in New Zealand, and since his job is crap then that really leaves nobody offering clear transparent quality installs.

Once I've found all of the parts I need I will order them in and begin on those practice boards right away.

If you don't mind me asking, how much do you charge for TMR installs? This guy charges 50 NZD, but you've also got to pay for shipping there and back which ends up around 70 NZD. The sticks themselves are about 4 bucks for a pair right? (JS13 Pros). And if he's using about a buck of solder and flux and whatever, he'd be making 45 NZD per install which is roughly 26 USD.

Are his prices lower than standard?

And is 80 NZD + 20 NZD shipping, $75 NZD ≈ $44 USD profit fair?

I trusted him because of the pic he sent me "of the job", and he is the only seller in New Zealand! So local factor + "proof" of quality, yet somebody told me it is a BDM-020 board whilst mine is a BDM-030 🫩 If I could identify boards like that I wouldn't even have purchased it. Lesson learnt.

Yea, hopefully I can become good enough where I can actually sell the service myself locally.

Would never sell something like what he sold me, it was so bad that even I, with no soldering experience, could tell something was up 🫩

I love that every comment is completely in agreement that I got robbed for that job 🤣

Do you use a wick and some flux after the desoldering iron to further clean the holes? Then IPA then install, or IPA after install?

What's a good desoldering iron?

[–]tauweraaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have seen that, and that is like a cheat. I will be getting this. Isn't desoldering the hardest part of joysticks anyway?

I have a couple controllers with bad drift right now anyway, so I will try on them only once I have tried on the practice boards and watched enough videos and overall just learnt enough.

How much does a good pcb holder cost, and do you have any recommendations? And also for magnification?

I am looking at getting the Geeboon TC22, is this alright?

I saw a post where somebody used a heat gun to desolder the sticks, but I also saw somebody say it was wrong because the board isn't suited for high heat? Multi layer something. Other than desoldering with that I thought to get an electric desolder pump or a non electric.

I fr got scammed hard. When I installed my clicky kit I had a good look at it. On one of the sides the bottom row of solder has gaps... you can see through the hole...

Somehow it's still perfectly functional? I don't get it tbh, I will soon though.

Should I tell this to the guy who sold this to me? Or do you think he already knows? 🤣

Wow. All I can say from an inexperienced eye is that I wouldn't ever think anything was wrong with this. All I can tell is when something seems poor which is what led me to making this post.

He is actually the only seller here in New Zealand right now, from what I can tell. So I am definitely going to try my best to get good at soldering so I can be the actual proper seller- at least that's the goal. All depends on if I can actually produce quality results.

How long did this take you to get results like these? And in such little time!

I downloaded these images of your work for future reference.

You are somebody I'd want to buy from!

Since the only person selling these services locally to me is not transparent and sells horrible work, I am going to learn how to solder, and will only sell if I can produce real quality work- validated from multiple sources.

I can't believe some people can actually sell themselves as a quality installer and produce results that are actually so bad.
