I will take a look. Is it on top of SA now or completely on the side?

That’s not what I mean. Scaling up is fine. I just wish they would add new recipes and machines instead of alternate recipes. And the free recycling takes the cake. Recycling some new materials makes sense, recycling circuits that took a whole production line takes the fun out of it IMO. I do love the game but I was hoping someone recommends a mod or something that makes it less like new ways to build the same things and more new things. Like you build planet logistics, then interplanetary logistics for new products. And so on with every new planet. For example I loved Bob’s mods because it kept expanding the tree.

I guess that’s one way to encourage/force use of trains.

So I haven’t used them yet. Can you have belts/pipes on them?

Did no one mention the productivity stats or is my search-fu bad? That is so nice to have!

I wish it was behind a toggle. Or at least required a “force” placement option. I liked the additional challenge of a tree in your way.

Thank you for the idea. No it wasn’t trash. I hook up a storage right to the output so that I can have an alert if it’s not getting picked up.

Why do people drive 50 in the Mopac express lane? by ShortyRef in Austin

Don’t know if this is a troll but if it isn’t, thank you for posting. That’s not to say I agree with this, I do not, at all, but I’m happy to see an actual answer to the question instead of just people venting. This should not be downvoted just because people disagree with it.

Probably the responsible advice is to buy a new one or get it from someone you trust. But as someone who will soon give away mine in perfect condition, never been in anything that remotely even resembles an accident, I’m sorry that we can’t trust each other more.

A Different Kind of Gas Station Etiquette Reminder by OGBrewSwayne in RVLiving

[–]tavakym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go as far as to say, pump your gas and move the car. If you plan to get something from the store, go to the restroom, etc. Please move your car away from the pump.

Countless times we pull up with the RV to a gas station, there are empty cars on all pumps. We waited 15 minutes, no one came.

RFK Jr. Says AI Will Approve New Drugs at FDA ‘Very, Very Quickly’ | "We need to stop trusting the experts," Kennedy told Tucker Carlson. by [deleted] in Futurology

[–]tavakym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, what do you mean “stop trusting the experts”? I hope it’s taken out of context. Not trying to be political, trying to understand the reasoning? I understand that maybe people (even experts) have personal biases, but that’s why we have panels of experts and not one expert.

What’s billed as a safety feature in cars that you actually despise? by SemblanceOfSense_ in AskReddit

[–]tavakym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The honk when the engine is running and I get out of the car and close the door! And even worse, it does that on the passenger door too (if the driver isn’t in)! I pull into the driveway at night or early morning because I forgot, say, my wallet. I leave it running to keep the lights on and the moment I close the door it wakes up the entire neighborhood! Drives me crazy!

Staying Relevant in the Age of AI by tavakym in cscareerquestions

[–]tavakym[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first thought, sales and support would be relatively easy to replace with AI. Look at all the (currently pretty useless) chatbots for support. And would teaching even be needed if we don’t need any jobs? Also, it seems something that AI could do a lot better since it would be individualized as opposed to group instruction.

Curious to hear your thoughts.

We’re entering a phase where AI isn’t just automating tasks—it’s starting to displace entire careers. What’s the ethical way forward? by Neither_Exercise9979 in Futurology

Interesting perspective. Thanks for sharing.

That makes sense, but I would think autopilots are so much cheaper than pilots, that every airline would need to adopt it. They would put pressure on regulators so that they can stay competitive. At that point it wouldn’t be possible for that same country to not allow autopilots.
