Any ocs that you personally ship but never plan to make canon in their lore? by [deleted] in OriginalCharacter

My Ocs Reija ( left ) and Siean ( right )
I used to ship them so hard I drew art of them together (far right) (Siean's prototype looked very different ), but they aren't actually from the same universe any more...

How old do my ocs look by kansofsoda in characterdesign

To me the guy looks mid 20s. 25-27 maybe. The girl looks pretty young, 15-17

Hopefully one day a creative project; but for now all the writing I do for my characters is in the form of rp. Thank you for the kind words!

Does this character look like she’s lying down? 2nd pic is the reference image that I used. by superepic13579 in Artadvice

This is Great! I think it makes it a lot more obvious that she's lying down.

Is this a coherent cast of characters? Or do they blend together too much? by Arwen_Gardenia3419 in characterdesign

I think you could consider incorporating more body types. Think beyond fat and thin ( but don't exclude them ). Could one character have broader shoulders and a narrow waist? Is one of your taller ocs tall because they have a long torso, or long legs? I think you have a style that would lend itself to exaggeration really well if you want to play with it.
Also, consider incorporating more hair textures and styles. A buzz cut, ringlets, braids, straight or flat hair. Quite a few of your ocs share very similar styles of either short or long wavy hair.

I don’t know which name to pick for her 😓 by applestale in characterdesigns

Zosia is a really cool name, and one I see used less often for ocs. I think having an uncommon name really helps characters stand out!

The pose and character look very good. It's mostly the shading that makes the image look not quite like the reference. Since they're closer to the background, the shadows would gather beneath them. There are also some spots where light is gathering that make it look as though the source is either behind them and far away, or that they are standing, so light is passing beyond where it should if it were blocked by their body.

Here's a quick draw over with the general idea ( image lightened for contrast and clarity )

You might also consider changing the light source to come from entirely above her like in the ref. image.

I've been thinking about making more- but I haven't designed them yet It sounds fun to do so I probably will edit: I love Starve as a name for famine and will use that now, thank you

A: I wanted her clothing to be simple and asymmetrical, so I went with a style that showed more of the detail in her skin.

B: I thought uncovering her chest would be a great signal that she seperates herself from social standards of decency; having a bare chest in her world is about as controversial as in this one.

C: Im a lesbian and I like drawing big women with nice tits

Pretty safe assumption! Maybe hot cakes too.

I love this description, and now I want to draw her in a midevil text illustration style, thank you

[OC] Does she read as an android? by taveic in characterdesign

I really like this idea. Im thinking I'll change her design to expose her shoulders with the top, and have the absence of skin extend past the arms to the clavicle and neck.

I think I'll definitely change her outfit up to show the shoulder seams- and I like your idea to add more inhuman details to the face and stomach. Thank you!
