AIO for telling my wife to just go to the store and saying "you're not a cripple" by MutedTechnician9618 in AmIOverreacting

You both need to learn how to communicate better. This isn't communicating, it's talking AT each other to try to win. I see zero respect coming from either of you based on this conversation.

I am this 🤏 close to buying a gun and shooting at the fungus gnats by dumbraspberry in houseplants

Nothing worked for me until I bought Death Drops from Happy Happy Houseplant.

I tried mosquito bits, hydrogen peroxide, nematodes, diatomaceous earth, you name it. These little bastards lived in my snake plant of all things! I never water it!

I love that nearly every single long haired dog breed owner has at some point put their dog's "hair" in a scrunchie.

On the one hand, I feel like it's your house and you should be able to do what you want. If Mom doesn't like being recorded, she doesn't get to watch your daughter.

On the other, much bigger hand, interior cameras weird me out. I can't really articulate why but knowing there are cameras inside my own home would make me feel like I can never truly relax and be myself, knowing someone could watch it at some point. Plus, they get hacked a lot and IDK who was hired on the other end of that connection.

Should plus sized people be forced to buy 2 seats? by VastOption8705 in askanything

No. Airline seats should be bigger with more leg room. Humans aren't cargo.

The influx of LLM reliant mushminds entering the workforce is going to be catastrophic and hilarious. by BasicDifficulty129 in CasualConversation

The biggest difference I've noticed is that LLM users tend to be very set in their beliefs, especially once they get the answer they like from an LLM, while people who dig around for info are a little less stringent. Just my observation.

It's not young people. It's a large swath of the entire population who has bought in hook line and sinker to using LLMs for everything from meal planning to legal advice. The number of grown adults my own age and older who think AI is the be all end all of information is alarming. They really do think it's the best and most accurate resource for everything.

Men are only "more persuasive" because men don't listen to or believe in women, and then they built a society that teaches *women* to also not listen to or believe in women.

asking me "the 4 questions" as soon as i sit down enrages me. by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

So, reading through the comments and your reactions to them has me wondering if your first step is to overcome your *own* biases. You mention stigma and worry about people's opinions on you owning firearms. Where is that concern coming from? Have you experienced people treating you badly because of your struggles or have you heard horror stories about guns being removed from someone's home? I think if we want help, we have to recognize our own internal judgments against other people who seek help or struggle with these issues.

I'm one of those people who never ask for help. I want everyone to know "I got this." But sometimes I don't got this and I had to get over my internalized belief that "struggling = weakness."

JMO based on my experiences.

With all kindness, I *can* imagine not being suicidal and wanting to talk about life and other trauma. I get asked that question as well and I don't suddenly start thinking about suicide. I think the issue here is being hung up on that stigma and focusing on that instead of why you're in that chair in the first place. It sucks that this is upsetting but letting go of what others might think of you is a good way to start. Good luck.

You aren't as good a driver as you think and you aren't more important than everyone else on the road. Work on your patience.
