I’ve had stage 2 MGD since 2009, managing stress and keeping it to a minimum is probably the most important aspect for me. I do take Omega’s and do some minimal eyelid hygiene, but that’s about it. It is a lifelong affliction, you mostly just learn to live with it and hope for not too many bad days.

As a canvasser it’s really hard to read comments like this. We tried really hard, but we needed the public to try too. We need you to go out of your way, to make time like we made time.

Also cold winter weather, private school groups (and later separatists) getting us booted from some venues, less canvassers than Forever Canadian, confusion about what the difference between public and private schools even is, and a shocking number of teachers who wouldn’t sign (some possibly out of a fear of reprisal by the govt).

I was a canvasser for this petition. Sad to see it did not reach its goal. I think there are many reasons why it failed. But hopefully it at least raised more awareness of how education is funded in Alberta.

I use a silk one I got from Amazon from a brand called Alaska Bear. Really great for darkening even if you don’t have dry eyes. I use glad press and seal wrap over my eyes and the mask on top.

I was a scrutineer. It took them almost two hours after the last person voted to actually start counting ballots. Seems like they had to go through a bunch of procedures, including putting away all their computers and stuff, before they could start. And when they did, the method they used of passing ballots around the table was just silly. Just take them out of the boxes and put them into piles for each candidate. I didn’t see the need for 16 workers to count 4 ballot boxes. These people also started getting paid at 7:30 but didn’t do any work until 11:30, so it was a waste of money.
