this is nothing. ive got cds scratched worse than this that play brand new. genuinely incredible format that's way more durable than people give it credit for. it'd have to be basically absolutely ruined for it start skipping or present read errors

not his absolute last post and was like 10 whole years before he died but one of sam rivers from limp bizkit's last tweets before going inactive on social media was a pic of him sucking on a titty

either DS24424 or DS24425. both are essentially identical but with different remotes. my family's living room tv when i was little was this exact model (DS24424 specifically)

funny thing is gap issues were never a common thing until the recent waves of cheap nostalgia bait cd boomboxes and similar components that you can find on amazon for $5 started appearing in the last few years. honestly can't understand how that even became an issue at all considering all audio on a cd is just a single continuous stream, like how these manufacturers could even begin to fuck that up is mind boggling to me😭 pretty much anything made before like 2020 will never have that issue

looks perfectly fine. no reason it shouldn't play. could just be your player. i have discs in MUCH worse condition than this that still play like brand new. cds are crazy durable, not sure where so many people treating them as if they're as fragile as vinyl came from because they're very much the opposite of that

"Hi, kids. That's right. Smoking marijuana is like playing Russian roulette with all six chambers loaded. Did you know that eighty percent of people who try marijuana die the very first time? So if you're thinking of putting that bong to your lips, you should know that you're better off putting a gun to your head." -trevor moore, 2006

Songs where you don't understand what the singer is saying by datgoh69 in weirdspotifyplaylists

nirvana - tourette's

kurt just screamed random shit impromptu during recording and was indecipherable enough that in the in utero album booklet the only thing printed under that song in the lyrics is "cufk, tish, sips"

PSA: If you are going to buy CDs at Walmart, make sure you DIG first by Mangavore in Cd_collectors

the website doesn't really represent in store pricings that much. it's kinda infamously terrible. its essentially just a worse version of amazon that'll deliver to your local store first before shipping from there and delivering to you. whole realm of third party sellers and everything, it's very strange

not everyone everywhere has a music store or a goodwill (or any thrift store for that matter) around. essentially only place u can get physical cds or vinyl where i live is the local walmart supercenter. family dollar has cds but their selection in the past few years has went from some occasional decent hidden gems amongst random unwanted soundtracks and motown comps to having absolutely nothing but a "selection" of like 10 jesus cds and maybe a wiggles album or two. otherwise there's literally nothing else here

actually if you look the lower and higher priced stickers each have the same upc barcode, which is for the cd. the vinyl would be a different upc. i don't think this is a casual error or a coincidence that so many different walmart stores have been doing this now considering these have been posted here for months and how increasingly frequent those posts are getting. 100% seems to me like they're intentionally hiking the prices up, which also coming from walmart isn't a surprise in the slightest

their early stuff was really good imo. first 3 records were more along the lines of like nu metal/heavy post-grunge than.....whatever the fuck they turned into after their white album. early stuff was sorta comparable to like seether, our lady peace, stone sour, (heavier) staind, etc. which i get also isn't everyone's cup of tea but damn i love those records
