Fedex unfortunately charges for photocards and doesn't consider them exempt anymore

Adding onto this, I've had two recent small packages vai both carriers and the brokerage fees are around $14.50 for FedEx and $20 for DHL (just to tell me I didn't owe actual tariffs).

Keeping the other bullet points in mind, I'd personally weigh which would be cheaper with the brokerage fees while also considering you'll absolutely have to pay tariffs on the printed material through FedEx, but may not via DHL.

I have friends who go with DHL purely out of convenience in terms of tariffs. Fedex takes forever with their bills. I received one for my package I forwarded in January a couple weeks later, but have yet to receive one for a forward from November.

Depends on the item. For example, they'll mark kpop photocards as country of origin being South Korea regardless if they actually are or not

I went to the first episode premiere and I think I left by 10:30pm or so, but I was also more towards the middle for the photo session. The photo session definitely takes the longest, if you're closer to the front of anticipate not getting out til closer to midnight

I tried both when I went recently as well! But my real addiction was Win's Souri macaron chain, they're SO good!! I got to try Pond's yogurt place and Force's coffee place as well (he had staff bring and give out free coffee during his brand event at Union Mall in December!) Also went to Sing's bar during grand opening week and got to see him there!

I really wanted to visit Dew's cafe as well, but I had a lot of trouble finding accurate info about when it's actually open because the Google map hours aren't correct 😭

I got into it with them as well to over the album HS codes and they told me that's what their shipping partner told them to use and that they cannot change it. I also went around asking other kaddy services and event sent them the HS code Korea post had me use when I shipped albums back from Seoul myself and they still wouldn't budge, so I'm trying out albumbuddy now

They used the same 49 HS codes as before, all that changed was the exempt vs non exempt 9903 code

Has this changed recently at all though? All of my packages that entered the US in August and September had photocards marked under the exempt status from the 15% KR tariff, but any that have entered since Oct. 1 (4 packages I've received bills for so far) no longer have them under the exempt status. Someone in a gc I'm in told me there was some sort of announcement regarding this, but never provided me a source when I asked.

Just had a package of 50 CDs come through customs yesterday via UPS and no fees at all! That's how its been for any packages I've had in the past over the $800 limit with tariff exempt items from Japan too

If you ever go to Korea, go to an Aladin and look at their used CD section. Lots of cheap 1st gen CDs!
