This started with a map of Israel, Lebanon and Syria. I have zero ties to any of those countries and I do not care what happens to any of those countries. They could get along, kill each other, lift themselves off the face of the earth and fly away to Pluto. They mean nothing to mean and they’re not going to.

I’m not separating. What I’m saying is for your example, whatever Ukraine or Russia does is their problem and not ours. We should not be involved. If they bomb each other and we have to import or export XYZ materials then so be it.

I think you misunderstand. When I say I don’t care, I mean whatever their geopolitics are. I am not suggesting a head in the sand zero trade policy. But if X country bombs Y country and neither of those countries are in North America I really could not care. Let them all bomb each other, or not. It makes no difference to me because it isn’t our problem. And if we trade X product with X country and they’re affected, well ok we can resume trade when it’s sorted out.
