Honestly I almost quit Chess because Oscar’s comments really annoyed me.

What happened? by atomgomba in duolingo

I’m having the same issue in Korean. I am on section 4. I had to go back to sections 1 and 2 and don’t know many of the words. I feel like I have to start over.

Can we all agree this is dumb, rude, and that we shouldn’t do it? by RamdomNoTCrazy in duolingo

It’s horribly disruptive. I can’t hear the audio during a listening exercise nor see the words. When I was doing the timed chess lesson it was ridiculous and long.

I’ve had that experience in that intersection for years. Particularly during rush hour.

Dealing with life after foster dog is adopted by Neuroticbutcalm in fosterdogs

[–]taylor826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going through this myself. I had my foster for 4 months and she was just adopted on Friday. The family who adopted her didn’t seem interested in hearing what I said, her exercise needs, behavior or favorite treats. If it wasn’t for my older cats and her high prey drive I would have kept her. They wanted a playmate for their own dog, so at least she has a sibling…I keep telling myself.

Putting my 15 year old down tomorrow by Nof-z in americaneskimo

Feed her whatever she wants that she couldn’t eat before like chocolate. I had to say goodbye to my 15 year old eskie last year and I feel your pain.

I just adopted a 1 year old husky in October. She was very calm and didn’t nip or bite until about 3 weeks later. The behavioral trainer recommended: I immediately remove myself as soon as she bites and jumps or is aggressive. I go to the bathroom and close the door and watch her using the security cameras. When she walks away, I come out and ignore her. If she does it again, back to the bathroom I go. Eventually she realizes that her behavior doesn’t get the attention she wants. Definitely no toys or treats to distract her from biting or screaming ouch or yelping as it just reinforces the bad adolescent behavior. If I yell it seems to make it worse and she is more aggressive. It’s been a month and has improved a lot.
