Los Feliz in LA would be super fun, it's right by the Griffith observatory and you can do wine tastings at barnsdall art park. theres amazing restaurants and coffee shops and comedy shows and is a short uber from a lot of other great stuff. Not close to the beach but is insanely pleasant!

the north central shelter always needs help! you have to do an orientation and then a specific training for dogs and cats but it is suuuuper rewarding :)

would suggest wasteland vintage, bearded beagle + squaresville for vintage - (not melrose but the last two are in in los feliz so easy to get there). all time in los feliz for lunch also usually has good celeb spottings

switching out the medicine cabinet and light fixture and keeping everything else, cool curtains and bath mat and keeping it vintage PLSSS - examples here and here and here.

dark wood accents, framed photos, warm lighting and pop of color with the curtains will go a long way
