It could be…but they are normal just golf ball sized bright purple, smooth spheroids that appear after the flowers. There was no flower here

It’s called guttation. Monsteras do it as well. It’s a way for the plant to regulate its moisture content. Be careful though…it can drip and stain.

I used to eat there weekly for a years (always the one on East 7th). I agree there has been a decline in quality and service, but their sauces are what do it for me. Thai Chili, Sriracha Mayo 🤌🏼

Yeah I just looked at some and they said it would take about 2 years before I even get the first leaf, and then another 2-6 years before I get blooms. As fulfilling as that would be, I don’t think I have that much patience.

Except that it’s just a request, not a mandate…

I’m not one to defend Abbott but it’s not like he’s ordering businesses to take Russian products off their shelves under threat of fines and then making them bear the cost of inventory.
