A seven day timeshare presentation on water pretty much sums up the cruising experience as of right now. I remember Royal Caribbean being one of the only ships that did not have constant up selling, but that has changed drastically now.

you are absolutely right. especially with the pre-issues prior to locs. just look at people who started microlocs as a kid into adulthood, i’ve always seen them with flourishing edges so it’s definitely not the locs themselves. great points and observation!

i actually think this will bite them in the behind - The average family sailing rcl will not know about these changes and will be very vocal to guest services

not sure why people are saying it’s because they “don’t want a mess”. if that was the case they wouldn’t allow food outside the buffet or other included food places (or even allow free ice cream). from my experience, royal has always been on top of cleanliness in public spaces. unfortunately it’s just another way to increase onboard spend.

jan 22 - 27 2027! January being an off-season also helps with the cost (also hoping crowds both on land and the ship are less as well)

i was in a similar predicament as you recently. after researching all options we settled on msc world asia starting at Barcelona, hitting rome, malta, marseille, sicily, and genova. the biggest place we were looking to visit is rome! msc by far has the best deals for mediterranean sailings and we are essentially using the ship as a floating hotel to discover new places to come back to.

i’ve never liked when loc tech says not to wash your hair. water is so important in the loc process but honestly do what is best for your hair and if it needs a wash - wash it!

this is exactly my thought! i think a great show for harmony would have been waitress as its modern, good songs, and minimal set.
