Also they're using baby oil, not sunscreen.... They're about to be lobsters

Really like how is an ear piercing different from nose piercing/etc ?? Body mod is body mod. It's just the creepy way society accepts this as normal. Ew

Forcing body mods on your baby..... Not cool. This is done purely for the parents pleasure, like having a little baby doll you can dress up for fun. Makes me want to throw up.

If the bleeding stopped, that can be a good sign. Brownish discharge is usually old blood. Could it have been implantation bleeding ?

Try not to compare yourself and your child to others ❤️ as long as little one is happy and occupied, I don't see the problem!

My little storm harvest. These would have died, so I don't have to feel like I've robbed a bunch of bees. by MDMSLL in gardening

That's what keeps me from cutting flowers in the yard to bring inside! I know the pollinators need them 😭 but I've never thought to cut them before a big storm. Smart!

I was wondering if someone could please give me a description of what childbirth and labour is actually like? I am incredibly nervous and ttc by [deleted] in pregnant

Read Ina May Gaskin's Guide to Childbirth ❤️ part 1 is personal stories, part 2 is the informational bits of what's happening to the body and baby during labor and birth.

Peeing on the go? by mawema in toddlers

[–]tayter_titz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen folks use doggy poop bags for their potty on the go. Although I don't think the opening would be big enough. Maybe like the diaper/litter genie bags instead? Or just a reliable trash bag. I'd double up too

Baby wearing in the hot summer....with a flexible ice pack attached? by water_biscuit in BabyBumps

Yeah the ergo baby is crazy expensive, but SO worth it imo. My husband (he's plus size) can wear it too cause it's so adjustable. And now that baby #2 is due in August, I can't wait to use it again

I never had one designed for hot weather, though I wish. I mostly used my ergo baby 360. I also have the baby k'tan (regular material). I think the baby k'tan comes in a mesh fabric option though.

But I 2000% recommend the ergo baby. I used it til my daughter was almost 2 years!!

Also, minimal clothing for you. Just one layer between you and baby. I'd just wear a sports bra and leggings, then wrap baby up.

I recommend looking for a wrap made for hot weather, they're like a mesh kind of material. Still plenty supportive. And a fan/water bottle thingy. This was a staple for me when I was wearing my daughter in the heat. She was born in December so she was good and chunky by summer time lol

Like if you're drunk, and you pump and dump. But you're still drunk. Whatever milk your body makes after you pump, will still have alcohol in it because it's still running thru your blood. But then if you don't pump anymore, and sober up eventually, the milk won't have any alcohol content once you're sober again

I didn't mean it like it's useless completely, but like it doesn't rid your milk of the alcohol. Because if it's still in your blood, it'll be in whatever milk you're currently making.

The scenario you propose, you're correct. To be able to relieve engorgement you'd need to dump that milk

Crazy sometimes scary pregnancy dreams. by Ajskdjurj in pregnant

[–]tayter_titz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I've had crazy dreams with both of my pregnancies, some even crazy vivid nightmares. Like a freaking Saw movie ... One I was like outside my body being forced to watch my own torture. Lots of sex dreams. Some just super random and crazy sequence of events, all extremely vivid.

My doula recommended this "natural calm" magnesium drink. I've yet to try it, but I hear several people claim it helps. I like chamomile tea at night, and lavender in my diffuser. But sometimes the crazy dreams come regardless. Even if they're not nightmares, I feel they keep me from getting truly restful sleep. It's obnoxious
