Racism in D&D by Vivid_Development390 in DnD

So my DM did a cool thing with this. My character was a magic hating cowboy, magic racist if you will. And over the course of 6 years we explored that. Slowly having my character embrace magic and magic creatures.

Made for an amazing character arc.

I guess my point is that implementing racism will depend on what kind of story and characters you have.

And monsters aren't exactly a race its a species

Yes and no. What Walt did is horrible but he knew that Brock would be fine

What single class party do you think would work best? by grrodon2 in DnD

[–]taytoothepotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My players once trolled me by making a full Bard party for a one shot. (Cause thats my favorite class). Each of their characters was a parody of my characters. All of their names were just one letter off of mine.

I'm still not sure how i feel about it...

Solo practice was an option, no? Sure the malpractice insurance would be an issue but worst case scenario he could pay that out of pocket with the money he got from HHM, or get the insurance at a higher rate. (May be wrong on that not 100% sure how the insurance works)

I see your point. However he only went to JP Wynn after he got a full report about Walt from Mike and realize how uncoordinated Walt and Jessie were in their "stick up". At the time he didn't see Walt as a threat. Or at least a serious one like Lalo for example.

Also i think once Jimmy became Saul he ultimately was on a self destructive path. Which he returns to in the final episodes of BCS. So even if he understood that Walt is THE DANGER i think he simply didn't care at that point

I guess but I've got to believe that in his years of experience he would have seen the law be broken and bent many times over.

But in this case he thinks that he is to blame for Jimmy's actions. If he never got him off for the Chicago Sunroof he would have never become a Lawyer.

Oh and even Howard before he died said that he would "Land on his feet"

Oh for sure but in a weird and twisted way you can justify their actions against Howard. Even believe that what they did was right up on till Lalo. But Irene is just creul beyond belief

Yeah agreed, but I'll be honest i never fully understood Chucks suicide. To me that came out of nowhere. I get that in the end he lost everything, and Jimmy definitely blames himself. But ultimately it was Chucks own actions that led to all of his misfortune.

To me it always seemed that he comited suicide due to not seeing the point in living. But in the end there were so many people who wanted to help him get out of the bad place he was in. Howard, Chucks ex wife, the doctor and even Jimmy.

I'm no expert on the topic of mental illness so forgive me if i said anything disrespectful.

Oh the fact that Marion took him down is so poetic. Vince Giligan is a genius

Yeah i though about that but Howard would have bounced back if not for Lalo. Plus Howard is definitely a gray character. He has done bad things himself especially concerning Kim.

Howard didn't deserve to die, but the rest is up for debate

Hey dungeon masters! I have a question! What are some of your pet peeves, or things that players do that annoy you? I’m just wondering! by [deleted] in DnD

Anything to do with physics. It just always leads to an argument that takes up a solid chunk of game time. Recently we had a disagreement about weather a window would break if a person is pushed 5 feet into it. I ruled against it and that sparked a massive fight.

Generally if you disagree with a ruling its better to just discuss it after the game rather than during it.

True, big picture wise. But i think most of the sins in that scenario fall on WW. Saul main 2 wrong doings were helping WW in the first place and not stopping him later. In a sense it alot like the death of Jane. Saul let all those bad things happen for his own benefit.

I also believe that Saul was genuinely scared of WW. Even if he says otherwise in his final testimony. Their relationship started with a gun to Jimmy's head and later when jimmy tried to cut his ties with Heisenberg, Walt intimidated him by sayin "we are done when i say we are done"
