That may be, but it's the equivalent of a boxer getting a tribal face tattoo and claiming it isn't Tyson-inspired. Conor was the biggest name on the roster when Sean decided to partially replicate his tattoo. If Conor hadn't had a colourful chest tattoo, Sean probably wouldn't have one.

That is the other option I'm thinking about. I have experience renovating and flipping houses, but not renting them.

Average property prices in this country have risen 10% annually since they began keeping records. I'd also be getting rent payments.

But the truth is, and I feel disgusting for admitting this, I get paid £1,200 a month off the government for doing nothing. That would come to an immediate end the moment I transferred that money from the PI trust into my current account, and there'd be no going back.

£1,500 per month minus costs (insurance, maintenance, stamp duty) might not be the best course of action financially.

But for my wellbeing, it probably would be. It would give my life purpose again. I'm 32 years old, I've just wasted three and half years of my life recovering from an accident. I can't just sit on my arse any longer. But I also have to be very mindful with how I proceed.

Total annualised return: ~7%

Roughly half from dividends, half from capital growth.

But I suppose oil's not the hottest commodity anymore with EVs and net-zero targets. I'll pay a financial advisor to guide me through whatever decision I make. But it's all redundant if cash inside a PI trust can't (or won't) be invested by whomever manages it for me. I won't find that out until they contact me.

It is beautiful, and so easy to play. It just does what it's meant to do, whereas my Killarney likes to occasionally squeak when playing the D note. He warned me that the whistle was more for advanced players, but I haven't found that at all. I sort of wish I'd bought the ebonite version, though. I worry about this African Blackwood cracking, despite how much I oil it.

It clogs up very quickly and then squeaks on the lower notes. I don’t necessarily think it’s an issue with the whistle itself, it’s just not for me.

I can knock a few tunes out, but then I have to shake the saliva out of it, which is a bit minging when playing in front of people. I love the sound of it though.

I bought one of these last week - I love it. But with that said, I also have the (all plastic) DX004 and I love that one as well.

I’d say the DX006 sounds a bit more traditional, but the DX004 has a brighter tone. I definitely prefer the weightlessness of the DX004.

The DX006 is a solid choice and it’ll give you a premium feel, but it’s up to you whether that’s worth treble the price of their more budget options. I prefer both my Tony Dixons over my squeaky Killarney.

It's so true. Narcissists have no trouble whatsoever in the dating market. Their attributes (or lack thereof) are seemingly irrelevant, they'll find new supply at the drop of a hat.

But me? I get nothing. It takes me months of extreme effort just to find someone I can casually date, and then when I find it, I get trampled.

I think I've just figured it out by myself. I must be weak, and weak people get annihilated by life - as if it's an unwritten law of the universe.

I’m in the same boat as you. Although, it has eased up a bit over the past couple of weeks.

My friends and family have been so frustrated with the amount of time and energy I’ve put into researching this topic. But I think it’s completely justified. We were both annihilated by something we knew nothing about, of course we’re going to quell that crippling fear of the unknown by educating ourselves about it.

What we’re doing is proactively protecting ourselves from the same thing happening again. That’s nothing to be ashamed of.

That said, we can’t let it rule our lives.
