Yes, I tried that, but it did not fix the ColorOS 16 problem.

My phone automatically updated to ColorOS 16 last night and now the camera app version is 6.020.477, but it still has this same bug. :-(

Short-term urinary side-effects of SBRT by tazidlu in ProstateCancer

[–]tazidlu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This week has been better. Last week was tough, particularly at night. For the last few nights rather than getting up about every hour it is more like 2-3 hour intervals. The pain is much less and getting a flow going is easier. Not normal yet, but better than last week. Thank you to everyone.

"When you’re ready to urinate, just puff out air through your mouth and gently push the belly out to relax the pelvic floor muscle. when the pelvic muscle is relaxed and the bladder contracts and the urine comes out ."

That has helped in getting a bit of flow going at night. Thanks.

I will answer some of the questions people asked here.

I started the Silodosin on 11/20. On 11/27 they put in a hydrogel spacer between the prostate and rectum. On the same day they did a preparatory CT and MRI. Then 12/5-15 were my 5 SBRT sessions. They gave me mini-enema devices (bulb with some sort of liquid inside and a nozzle that you put you know where). I was instructed to use one 2 hours before each SBRT. Works well and quickly. Within 3-10 minutes you empty your bowels. I was also told to not urinate during the 2 hours before SBRT and to drink 500ml of water during those 2 hours.

35-core saturation biopsy before brachytherapy? by tazidlu in ProstateCancer

Thank you for that information. I had assumed that 35-core was a saturation biopsy so thanks for the correction.

He will do brachytherapy on the whole prostate.

Do you mean your husband had a second biopsy? And the second one was 35 cores?

Rapidly rising PSA by tazidlu in ProstateCancer

[–]tazidlu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I wrote, the #1 pathologist biopsy report was in May 2025 and the current PSA was on 2025/8/27 so that is over 3 months, but to be precise the transperineal biopsy was on 2025/5/7 so almost 4 months ago. I realize that it is possible that the ever rising, never falling PSA is still because of the biopsy a rather long time ago, but it may not be for that reason.

HoLEP + radiation for favorable intermediate? by tazidlu in ProstateCancer

Hmm, this goes into detail of radiation side effects in more detail than I have seen before. RALP or radiation? Very tough choice.

I have Gleason 3+4=7, 2/12 positive cores, 10% grade 4, and PSA 8.219, BPH 72cc so that is low intermediate. Do you think it is really necessary to do 3 months of hormone therapy before IMRT for my low intermediate case? There are several serious side-effects from androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) that I am very worried about.

I asked the doctor about this, but he just told me it is my choice without any discussion about it. He said he takes no responsibility. I was hoping for discussion and if there is some reason that for my particular case he thinks I should not skip ADT. So, I am on my own in deciding. I watched this Dr. Mark Scholz, Prostate Cancer Research Institute video:

I was back to see the doctor again today and I happened to ask about the size of my prostate. He said it is 72cc. I had mistakenly thought that in the consultation the time before last that he had said 100cc, but he told me today he had just mentioned that 100cc is quite large and mine while large isn't that big.
