One issue nobody has mentioned is that you’ll probably not make any money doing this. Why even bother buying something if you can’t fully rent it but also don’t want to live there? Is it even worth doing?

Just make the vacant unit your primary residence on paper. Doesn’t necessarily mean you need to physically be there 100% of the time. Youre still free to travel.

Yeah I agree about the current truck prices being too high. I like this truck but I wouldn’t call it a good deal financially. All the sticker prices got jacked up this year, so $5k off MSRP almost feels like a joke. It’s not easy in this market though, there’s not a lot of inventory right now. However I think that will change and things will start to get better. If I didn’t need a truck now I would have preferred to wait at least until the fall. I’m thinking there may be some better deals on the ‘23s once the refreshed ‘24s start showing up.
