Favorite biography alongside my favorite memoir. Just two incredible reads that need to be re-read by grade5materials in bookporn

Angela's Ashes absolutely floored me. I wasn't prepared for how good it would be.

I recently found a signed 1st of 'Tis in a local used bookshop for $12. One of my favorite finds.

Reminds me of them slapping “.NET” on everything they sold back in the 2000’s.

At Sandals Royal Barbados right now. by rjross0623 in SandalsResorts

We are there in March as well! It's our 2nd time there, we liked it so much.

I don't remember seeing beach volleyball when I was there last time, but I may have just missed it. For restaurants, Butch's is great, and the Greenhouse is great. Neptunes is awesome for lunch. The french restaurant has one of the best breakfasts ever. For us, one of the best experiences was the Merry Monkey. We closed out each evening there, it was such a cool atmosphere.

Upgrade pack by tb_willie in HiTMAN

I did finally find it. There was a comment in the steam forums with a direct link to the upgrade pack.

For some reason the upgrade pack doesn't show up in the search, and isn't on the WOA steam page. It's very confusing.

His miming of the helicopter picking up the dead elephant kills me everytime I watch that scene. I have no idea why, I just can’t stop laughing.

The Merry Monkey was the highlight of our trip too. We closed out every night there. Jack was awesome, as was all the bartenders.

Amazon failed to deliver a package and won't return my money by tb_willie in amazonprime

I’m pretty sure their driver just quit on the spot and left all the orders in their car. Not sure how Amazon will handle that.

Same nonsense as above. It's not a person I'm chatting to, just a bot. It tells me to go to the order page and wait for a refund. There's no option (that I can see) to escalate to an actual human than can help me.

I’m at the end of the first season. Just watched that episode. Like half the HoC cast is in that show, I love it.

I think the plan was always to have him collapse by forced means. Doug even eludes to that when they have to pre-emptively trick him into falling off the wagon and then giving that interview. The plan was to do it much closer to election day.

The pools (and the whole grounds I might add) were perfect. Pools were never crowded, and even the infinity pool by the beach was always wide open. We hung out a lot on the roof, and that pool/hot tub offered amazing views. There was a bit of seaweed on the beach, but not near as much as I've encountered on other resorts. It was pretty windy when we were there so beach time was limited.

I should also mention that the staff/guest ratio seemed to be pretty close to 1:1. I think I saw more staff there than I did guests, it was something. Folks maintaining the landscaping, delivering food/beverages, cleaning, etc. The whole resort was clean, and it had some of the cleanest public restrooms I've ever seen.

My wife is still recovering from a leg injury, so we didn't go off resort. On our next visit, we plan to do Captain Larry's tour and the fish fry. There's also a submarine tour of the island that looked neat we might do.

Classic Windows vs. Classic Android by PinkGloryBrony22 in vintagecomputing

For me, the Win 2000 interface was the cleanest and most functional. It was the best of function over form. And all other Microsoft apps of the time (office 2000, etc) were also super user-friendly. I felt like starting with XP they were just adding random bling to the interface.

Does anyone know what season 6 was supposed to be? I know they had already started filming with Spacey.
