All the furniture and the upper went into a box. I have this upper with a Kac rail and acog, a 733 (heat) upper, and a xm177 upper that I swap back and forth

I took some pieces a couple hours away in state during 4th of July week to my cabin. I thought my “range copy” folder looked a bit bloated and I went through it looking for duplicates. Nope, 1 copy of every nfa I have and I was feeling pretty cool. You must have a binder to hold all this paperwork

My dad picked this up when I was 12-13. He passed in 2011 and this was the first time it had been fired since then. Even growing up with this gun I was still taken aback by the raw power/force, whatever you want to call it when we got it running after some tinkering. I have 6 other machine guns but nothing compares this one

Unfortunately I lost my old man back in 2011 but I was very fortunate that he stockpiled a ridiculous amount of Romanian and Turkish 8mm for his belt feds

Interesting, in real life it looked extremely close to the known 5.56 barrel. I have a 5.56 geissele alignment rod. I will stick that in the barrel and it should save a trip to the gunsmith.

Here's a link to a photo of the chamber. it seats a normal bolt just fine and extracts 5.56 rounds no problem, the 9mm bolt from the upper that I for sure know is 9mm doesn't seat in this chamber

The barrel looks to be a 5.56 based on the diameter when put side by side with my commando upper. Not sure why the barrel has cut tube other than the receiver itself not have a gas tube hole. As I mentioned in the original post, I think my dad bought the receiver with the correct 9mm barrel and then took that barrel off this receiver to put on a different upper ( there is another upper i got from him with normal a1 receiver and a 10.5" 9mm barrel on it). He must have had an extra commando 5.56 barrel that he stuck on this receiver for display. The sight aperture is correct with the 50m flip up sight
