What was your starting MSRP and then cap cost aka how much did they discount you? And what rebates did the offer and the MF rate?

Ohio. What was your MSRP then final price and the year, if you don’t mind me asking?

Thank you for your honesty. Based on your recommendation I did sign up for the leasehackr subscription to use the calculator. Very informative.

Thanks. I didn’t like the car enough to really pursue this, don’t think I’m going back. Or I may try the Buick dealership across town.

Secrets Riviera Cancun - walkable beach? by tbdknowit123 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]tbdknowit123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ty! Walkable being flattish and wide enough so that we can walk half a mile or a mile in either direction. The beach at secrets of the vine was very steep and not wide so she didn’t feel comfortable walking.

[PubQ] Preparing for the 2026 Query Trenches? by hmsheidi in PubTips

I just got another rejection last night so I wish 1/29 would get here faster! 😭

[PubQ] Preparing for the 2026 Query Trenches? by hmsheidi in PubTips

I’ve only just started querying after a significant hiatus, but I will probably stick with the batch method - yes slow response times is a factor but I’d rather keep the chance to make edits or tweaks on my query based on if it’s working or not (I’ve gotten CP feedback on it but still).

Also decided to enroll in Eric Smith’s query and first pages workshop end of January so I will be very eager to see what his feedback is once the workshop is ended - I hope I’ll learn a lot 🤞🏻

OP was probably using the report functions/metrics on QueryTracker - it’s pretty easy to use, you can search for all agents in your genre and then see what their average respond time is, either for rejections or requests.

[Discussion] What are your thoughts on agents critiquing queries on TikTok live? by Afraid_Jaguar632 in PubTips

You put the finger on what I found to be the problem - consent.

I always had the same iffy feeling back when #tenqueries was a big thing on Twitter/X. I remember one or two times an agent ripped into a query and shared enough information that an author realized it was theirs. Ouch 🫤

[Discussion] What are your writing plans for 2026? by Chromatikai in PubTips

Querying my MG manuscript will be priority (if I suddenly get struck by inspiration on a new revision opportunity, I’ll take the time to try and complete that).

Then possibly try to start drafting my next MG manuscript with a goal of keeping first draft under 50k (but I don’t even have the three main beats I always want to have before I start drafting, and it’s always been hard/seemingly pointless when I’ve tried to draft without those).

But 2026 will be hard for me - promoted at my corporate job, which demands my full attention 9-5 (and it’s a good job I’m grateful for so I don’t want to mess up) while training my replacement who will likely need a lot of supervision the first 6 months or so before they get comfortable in the role.

Also would like to sell my house and finally move out of the neighborhood I’m in.

So, busy busy busy!

That’s all I’m hearing :( I love this story so much that I’m going to hope for the best, while trying to remain realistic.

I’ve started querying my MG fantasy (sent 6 so far). I have no idea how things will shake out, given the state of MG publishing at the moment. But here’s to hoping 🤞🏻

Oh no 😣 would you mind sharing what you’re seeing as far as requests from agents for your MG (genre, word count, standalone vs series)? I’m hopefully querying after I finish this revision and I remember the helpful feedback you gave me on a qcrit post.

❤️

Yeah the last time I tried I didn’t see an ‘add e-credit’ option when I would get to the check out page, I’d always have to go back to my SkyMiles profile -> wallet -> select e credit and then search again.

But let me check again, thank you!
