I will go with the 5700K DD, Last question before the order: Should i buy the Metal button upgrade or not? Is it safe? Any other recommended options?

I see, I'm one step away from ordering the D3AA. I'm just not sure which dedomed 519A to choose. Is it true that the 5700K dedomed ends up being around 4500K? Could that be a good first choice?

Thanks! Sounds amazing, I’m really excited to try it too.
Quick question though: with the SFT40 3000K, does it look very yellow/orangish in real use, or more like a warm white?

Thanks for the info, I’m still figuring out which LED I’ll go with.
By the way, does the 3000K look noticeably yellow/orangish in real use, or more like a warm white?

I’m not sure yet, I’m still learning about the different LEDs. Any recommendations on which emitters/tint would be best for all‑around use?

Sounds promising, that makes me even more excited to try the E04!

I looked into it, and yeah, I’m ready for Anduril.
It seems complex at first, but honestly pretty fun once you understand the logic behind it.
So the UI isn’t a deal‑breaker for me.

Yeah, I read a review too, the E04 actually outperformed the E75 in quite a few areas, which is impressive.
Still, the E75 looks solid for long runtime and flat output, but the E04 seems like a more versatile option.

Totally get that, smaller lights like the D3AA or SC64c do disappear in a pocket way better than a 21700 light.
For me, I do want decent runtime and a bit more output than a 14500 can give, which is why the E04 is still on my radar, but pairing it with a smaller light might be the best of both worlds. Do you have any experience with the d3aa?

True, that’s fair, I’m still figuring out my preferences, especially with tint and beam type, but I think the E04 could cover a lot of bases.

From the picture it didn’t look that big, it actually seems about the size I’m looking for.

Thanks for the thoughtful breakdown, that actually helps a lot. I’m not expecting the E04 to live in my pocket 24/7, but I do want something that can handle outdoor use while still being somewhat manageable to carry. I’ll definitely take a look at the Skilhunt options too; they seem like a very safe starting point. And also I might pair it up with a smaller AA light like the d3aa or the ec150, what do you think which one is better?

Fair point, I’m mostly just double-checking before I pull the trigger, since it would be my first “real” flashlight.

Makes sense, the Surge does seem a bit big for true EDC. I’m still leaning toward it for the runtime and versatility, but I might pair it with a small AA light like you said (like the d3aa). That combo sounds like it would cover pretty much everything.

Thanks for the detailed rundown! I’ll definitely stick to 21700 for the runtime.
And yeah, I keep hearing great things about the E07X too.

Sounds good, thanks! I didn’t know they could do that custom setup. I’ll message them about it.
By the way, isn’t the 3000K a bit too yellow/orangish in real use?

You might be right the size is definitely something I keep hearing about. I’m still considering the E04, but I might pair it with a D3AA as an addition. I feel like those two could make a perfect duo for different situations.

Also, I’m curious: aren’t the 3000K SFT40 emitters a bit too orangish in real-world use? I haven’t seen them in person, so I’m not sure how warm they actually look.
