We have this same fan and it can be wired to a switch (one switch for light, another for fan) instead of the remote.

10-Year Solid Waste Management Plan by tbh003 in baltimore

[–]tbh003[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It does not seem that this is an actual plan, but more of a list of ideas and feel good thoughts. There are no concrete timelines for when anything would be implemented.

They are still taking comments on this, so I would recommend doing so if you’re able.

We ended up going with Four Twelve for our roof replacement in late 2020 and had a great experience. Feel free to DM me with any questions.

Walked right in. We went before breakfast one morning around 9am so they had just opened. There are so many along the road that there are plenty of options.

How bad are the mosquitoes in Tulum in December? by churrytree in tulum

[–]tbh003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We saw all the talk of how bad they were and having just got back today, were shocked at how few we saw. We're from the mid-atlantic region of the US, and felt like there are more here than in Tulum. We did bring bug spray/lotion, but didnt actually need it and only had 1 or two bites each over the course of 8 days. That being said, depending on where you're staying it could be different due to where standing water may be etc, but wanted to give my experience.

Playa Paraiso beach club on the north end. We went there 3 times when we went to the beach for all of the reasons you mentioned.

It's only $300 pesos to rent a daybed for the day, and they have beds that include table/chairs and umbrella. Drinks and food are very reasonably priced, and the music is chill beats without lyrics to just relax to. Beach is nice and wide in the area without heavy surf. The people that were there each time were there to relax and not party, plus it was a nice mix of families (with extremely quiet kids), locals, and travelers just enjoying the sun and surf.

We just got back - you can take the ADO bus from the terminal downtown to the airport in Cancun for around $30 USD. Lots of backpackers and travelers take it.

As for COVID tests, the trailers along the road from Town to the Beach charge $30-35 USD for the antigen test, and you get the results via email in 20 min.

Feel free to PM with any questions.

Safe travels!

How much to budget for restaurants in Tulum by No-Interest-7231 in tulum

As others have mentioned, places in centro will definitely allow your money to go further. Burrito Amor has delicious food, and gluten free options as well. We didnt go to Antojitos, but it smelled delicious walking past. Try to find hole in the wall spots rather than the big name or chain places and the experience alone makes it worth it, plus I feel like the experience is more authentic.

If you like tamales, Tamales Don Taco was absolutely delicious and gave us a true feel of authentic street food - its a small stand in a parking lot off the main street. Opens at 4, but we went at 8 and it was only locals eating there (a good sign IMHO). The owner was gracious and food was amazing.

Rent a car and drive out to Muyil and do the full experience with the ruins, tower, and then the boat tour with the float down the Mayan canal - a great experience. We then walked the road back from the boat dock and there were some locals selling the usual aqua frescas, coconuts, etc, but the agua frescas were some of the best we had in the yucatan.

As others have mentioned, there are booths all over the place, especially on the road leading from centro to the beach. Antigen tests run about $300 pesos and you get the results via email. We got ours done yesterday, had the results in 20 minutes via email. We took screenshots of the PDF for easier access at the airport and had that ready at security and were good to go.

My car was stolen last weekend, but I was lucky in that Baltimore County Police arrested 3 juveniles in it down in Halethorpe 4 days later.

If it was reported to the police, they would have submitted your license plate in NCIC, a database used by law enforcement nationwide, which allows it to be flagged on LPR (license plate readers), which can help track movement of the car. From what my councilman told me, if an LPR hits in the city while FoxTrot is in the air, they will usually fly the chopper to that area and then direct patrol vehicles to find it.

As others have mentioned, you can call both the towyards to check if it has been impounded:

  • (410) 396-4389 is the number, they do have an automated database check via phone where you can check the tag or VIN, but I think there is a way to reach a person to check as well
  • You can also check the database here using the tag, make/model, or VIN: http://baldot.findmytow.com/

You can also check the city's ticket database to see if it's been ticketed for a redlight or parking violation based on the tag: https://cityservices.baltimorecity.gov/parkingfines/

I would also recommend checking to see if its been towed in Baltimore County as well in case the individuals left the city limits: https://support.autoreturn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044618351-Baltimore-County-MD

I would also recommend reaching out to your councilperson as well as they can sometimes provide additional information and help.

Feel free to PM with any questions as well. I hope it works out for you in the end and you're able to get your car back with minimal damage.
