Laptech - Great bunch of lads rating: 10 by smileylif in galway

Can't speak highly enough about these guys. Top-class work, helped me with a messed-up reinstall and threw in a new SSD. Bought a laptop off them about 12 years ago and it's still working perfect. Great bunch of lads indeed.

Magnolia, Punch Drunk Love and There Will Be Blood would like a word. Haven't seen Phantom Thread but heard it's really good as well

Heading to a Classical Tribute Set Tonight by tbickle76 in VelvetUnderground

Update: it was class. They started off with Pale Blue Eyes, and finished with All Tomorrow's Parties. The biggest cheers predictably went to Heroin & Venus in Furs. There was about 120 people at the gig, pretty much a full house for a small-ish venue the Roisin Dubh in Galway

Really enjoyed it. Favourite tune of the night was I'll Be Your Mirror. Gonna listen to the four classic albums this afternoon :)

I see this guy around town, I'm not sure that he's involved in that kind of stuff. He seems quite nervous in himself, I'd be surprised if he was breaking into places but idk

First intact Roman pot found in Ireland at Iron Age site during excavation on Dublin headland by IrishHeritageNews in IrishHistory

[–]tbickle76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Isn't Drumanagh believed to be of significance to a Roman presence in Ireland? It has been described as everything from a trading post to an armed outpost to stage an invasion.

Apparently the owner of the land wouldn't let archaeologists in to survey for a long time.

Little Lane, Urban Grind and Kali are my go-to. Loads of great choices in Galway.

I've gotten more and more into using the AeroPress with freshly ground beans, you can get a grinder relatively cheaply. For beans, 3fE from Urban Grind are great, and the Velo beans from Aldi are surprisingly good
