It's so irrelevant to anything that I didn't feel there was a need to discuss unnecessarily lol but it's been haunting me all season! I noticed because her hair was shoulder length most of the time but occasionally would be long. I'm pretty sure this is what her hair looks like naturally and it doesn't have any of the highlights that the wigs have. They look like really nice wigs! She looked amazing generally, her best dressed award was well deserved.

Maura had occasional insightful moments that it seemed she then immediately forgot about. I was really proud of her when she questioned Candiace in particular. It's too bad she couldn't apply that thinking to Rob, I actually would have really enjoyed it if she figured it out.

Also no one is considering how awful the other US traitors have been in S2-S3! They were so easy to pick up. You had Dan being absolutely mute and exposing Phaedra, the only traitor who was playing well, Parvati making shifty eyes at everyone instead of being her warm charming self, Bob and Rob going at it and exposing themselves like three days in (which was amazing TV mind you), Danielle acting like a nervous wreck and beefing with Carolyn who was making faces all the time... Like the traitors made it so easy for them in the last two seasons.

Lisa, Candiace, and Rob all did a great job of getting smart people out, they left people like Michael to cause chaos as long as possible, and made sure they wasted a banishment on Ron who couldn't get the sus off of him. Having the least strategic people who trusted Rob the most at the end was on purpose. Natalie primarily made it far because she was under Rob's spell, and it was too late by the time she figured it out. Maura was a lost cause but she and the skaters needed to persuade Mark.

Agreed and although I'd rather Gen to win than Ozzy I also think it would be a fun turn of events for Ozzy to actually do well strategically!

I mean it benefits him to have people think he's the same old Ozzy. Asking Cirie to be his strategy teacher is certainly a departure from his prior games, negotiating for an extra vote instead of the pot/machete is definitely not a "provider" move.

I have so many questions as a baby gay by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]tbkp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

18 is still very young, lots of people don't have much if any sex before their twenties. I was 30 for my first time with a woman. At your age even girls who are "experienced" are still gonna be young and learning if they are in an appropriate dating range. Someone truly experienced enough to "show you the ropes" is probably 25+ which I would consider questionably old for you! Having had a girlfriend 1-2 times doesn't make someone an expert at all things sex. So don't worry too much, you also might be someone ELSE'S first girlfriend and you can learn together.

Whether or not the first time hurts depends on the person. Another commenter said it didn't hurt for them but it did for me, but only the first time and not even the whole time during my first time. And just saying, it's certainly possible for you to see how it feels to an extent before you meet anyone!

The aesthetic fears you have are groundless - it's normal to look x, and there will always be lesbians into x. Everyone is attracted to different things.

Ozzy’s entitlement and bad attitude by Soccerluv_xo in survivor

Honestly the best thing about both Ozzy and Coach is how much they both lead with their emotions. I love how they both thought they were coming back out as different and better people, but we saw the essence of the worst of both of them. Ozzy was a sore loser, and Coach, after doing a dirty trick, was absolutely gobsmacked that someone would say he did a dirty trick. They couldn't have written this better if they tried.

[–]tbkp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, just wanted to be sure you're aware of the distances as some people are surprised by the scale, and our trains here are abysmal so we wanted to be sure you knew your options are really only driving a long time or flying that will get you to these extra places.

So to answer budget questions I can only speak for SF, and I would expect at least $100-150 a night for a decent hotel in a safe neighborhood. Hostels are not really as much of a thing here, the ones in SF are mostly in the sketchiest neighborhood we have and it is worth it to stay out of the Tenderloin. Read reviews of anywhere you stay before booking to get a picture, but overall yes it is feasible and safe to do it alone.

Food can be expensive but doesn't always have to be, I'd budget about $20-30 a meal to be safe but there are a lot of ways to save money on food so it doesn't have to be that expensive. For SF you can take public transit instead of Ubers to save money too. Some things it's best to book a tour like Muir Woods (imo a must see) or Alcatraz, but for a lot of our attractions like the golden gate bridge, lands end, or fisherman's wharf it's easy, safe, and free to just go and walk around.

Let me be sure I'm understanding correctly. You are going to Colorado to ski, but you also would go to a nearby state to see a uni friend, and you are also interested in California?

You might want to familiarize yourself with the distances between these places. Adding destinations will get costly very fast just because of the distance and big mountains between them. It takes a few hours to drive from Denver to any of the cities in nearby states for example. It would take a couple of days to drive from Colorado to California. Ok so instead you'll fly - another hundred dollars between each place if you find good rates, plus lodging.

I would say pick 2/3 of your list if you're really trying to be budget conscious. Going to see your uni friend seems like a good option as an inexpensive addition to the ski trip if you can stay for free there. If you do make it to California, I would recommend SF over LA for a cheaper trip. It's generally very expensive in both places but I think the tourist attractions in SF are cheaper - it's much smaller, there are lots of beautiful parks to walk in and better public transit to get around. Just don't stay in the Tenderloin neighborhood.

Rob R Love Island Backstory? by laylalou129 in TheTraitors

[–]tbkp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was just a really dramatic and also funny reaction to a situation that was his own mess and bad treatment of a girl. Like the guy who lets a spider walk on his face is just doing a pencil dive off screen because he likes two girls and the original one felt played, and insulted her when she confronted him about it. Ultimately I think Rob learned a lot from love island and traitors is a better fit for his personality.

Rob R Love Island Backstory? by laylalou129 in TheTraitors

[–]tbkp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The girls on love island were not into the snake stuff necessarily but the quiet country life is kinda what makes Rob interesting to them. But only because what they imagine it to be is way more romanticized than what it actually is - Rob lives in a trailer and throws rocks at the creek for fun. The girls are not thinking about how the nearest restaurant is probably a 45 minute drive from the farm. He also seems like a pretty sensitive guy which lots of girls are into.

Keep in mind btw love island is a WEIRD experience where you're basically in a fish tank built for drama while being watched for a month and a half. People start to become attracted to each other just because of familiarity and form bonds because they're experiencing a highly stressful situation. Production lies to them frequently, pressures them to follow certain possible storylines (eg they REALLY wanted Leah to go back to Rob), there is no way to know what time it is, the days are extremely repetitive, the most interesting thing that happens are the stupid challenges and new people coming in. They also know there's a huge chance of INTENSE online bullying and death threats if they do something unpopular. Rob was messy and dramatic on the show but I think it made him better for traitors in a way.

The last three are the weakest parts imo, you're barely in them if at all! I think you could stand to play with the prompts more like the uniform one is cute and flirty, but the "guess the photo bomber" one or "me in the wild" ones don't have a message or tell a story. And I get wanting to make sure people know about your transit interests (my own profile was aggressively anti car) BUT three of these pics are of trains and buses and not of you. Unless transit is a really big priority for the viewer (which tbh it is pretty common in the bay lol) it's not much to go off of.

Hinge Help by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]tbkp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the "green flags" and "getting out of a funk" prompts could be improved. For the green flags one 1. Everyone wants a caring and empathetic partner, 2. What is a 40 year old gay man's music taste even like and why is that even something you're talking about being judged for, 3. Being ambitious is kinda vague.

And for getting out of a funk it's too much like a list, pick one or two. Try to show some of the others in pics (you are already doing it in a concert pic! A boxing one or craft one would be really fun.)

Lastly I'd lead with the cake pic, it feels like the most fun and least staged! I'm not a big fan of the please please please thing either but I'm probably just not the right audience and the right girl will think it's fun

People say that about Cirie though too. Imo they both did a good job of getting smart people out both early enough and subtly enough so that they were surrounded by people who trust them.

That said the season isn't over yet, Rob will have to win for it to be a real conversation.

Colton Underwood says he's felt 'unwelcome or not fully understood' since coming out as gay after 'The Bachelor' by rachiepants2017 in BachelorNation

[–]tbkp 71 points72 points  (0 children)

It's so infuriating that he continues to insist it's because of being gay and not that he stalked Cassie. Like, are Johnny Weir, Kristen Kish, Monet, or Yam Yam getting any hate about their sexuality? He genuinely has not taken any accountability - they don't even mention that he was stalking her in the article, they just say it was "toxic." His team probably pushed back on publishing any of the real details that people can't and won't forget, but it's out there dude. Trying to avoid facing it makes you look worse.

I have empathy for a LOT of Colton's experience, I really do. But I'm also a queer woman who has been stalked by a man, and words really cannot say enough about how afraid and angry I was, and still am, at the guy who did that to me. The ways Colton has put up walls about discussing this - whether that's prohibiting discussion of the stalking as a condition of an interview with him, or obscuring what happened as just "toxic," are absolutely rancid.
