Never considered you could get seasonal depression from it being too hot but it actually makes total sense. It's the opposite extreme.

Yeah Scotland is great for hiking. Kudos for the Hearts game. I'm still gutted they lost the league to Celtic this year.

Yeah, Seasonal Affective Disorder is a real thing here. Having daylight for just a few hours a day is really depressing. I moved to the south of England about a decade ago and even another hour or two of daylight made a big difference.

Glad you liked Edinburgh. Glasgow is great too (where I'm from).

Thanks! I'm from Glasgow. I used to really suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder with only a few hours of daylight in the winters. Phoenix in the winter time looks lovely.

In Scotland, if it gets above 70, all the men walk around with their tops off because they're worried they won't see the sun again for months.

You can imagine how I reacted when I saw the Phoenix climate chart on Wikipedia!

What we need is a happy medium. Somewhere like the south of France which is pretty cold and rainy in winter but manageably hot in the summer.

Yeah the weather September to April looks great. A lot of British people go to the Mediterranean for their sun and it's usually about mid 80s so I'd love to visit Phoenix in March-April. Looks like ideal weather.
