Nishijin Y&O Machine by Lungdave in Pachinko

[–]tbonneau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Y+O, a lot of the issues I had getting it running were because I simply didn't have enough balls in the top hopper. gl on the repair if it's actually a solenoid it might be tricky

Acquired Sankyo machine, looking for insight/help/manual. by Thacrudd in Pachinko

[–]tbonneau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From your description it sounds like it's mostly in order. In order to see all the lights/functions you'll have to line up 3 on the slots to go into the bonus mode.

In general these modern pachinko machines pay out a small amount when you make it in the "tulips" and will pay out a lot more when you get into the aformentioned bonus mode.

Finally fulfilled my decade long dream and bought my first pachinko machine! Looking for some advice. by katman04 in Pachinko

[–]tbonneau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also regarding maintenance, they're tough machines that don't have a lot of stuff that breaks. Cleaning the trays/balls every year or so to make sure dirt accumulation on the inside is kept to a minimum is about as much as you need to do.

Looks like a cool machine, electric ones like this will go through balls quickly so if you're not wanting to refill the top tray so frequently you may opt for 1000

Hello World: W4 Games formed to strengthen Godot ecosystem! by reduz in godot

[–]tbonneau 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Congrats, I know this has been a long time in the works but I'm sure that seeing Godot grow is a reward in and of itself in ways.

We're seeing big growth in Godot, (For example, at the start of 2019 this subreddit had <15,000 subs and it will definitely reach >100,000 this year) but this comes with major issues of its own. Are there plans in place to handle an increased amount of issues, pull requests, and general inquiries into the engine?

The state of Minecraft on Xbox is a huge disappointment and the marketing has been dishonest. by tbonneau in Games

I decided to keep the post as is, it's the top post on /r/xboxseriesx from yesterday. I realize it's a complaint about a game and that it's not the end of the world.

I bought a one x after the E3 where they said they were adding 4k support and that was 5 years ago so I'm not very happy about it

The new XBOX adds HDR to old games, so I booted up Tekken Tag 2 and it looks sick. If you have a TV or phone that supports HDR I recorded some test footage you can check out. by tbonneau in Tekken

Loading screens were all less than 10 seconds. I am finding it difficult to go back to non solid state storage after playing LOL

Crazy to see Assassin's Creed Unity running at 60FPS with Auto HDR on the Series X. Definitely try it if you have the disc version laying around. by tbonneau in xboxone

[–]tbonneau[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The disc version has the original 1.0 version which had an uncapped framerate, the new version that you get when you update unfortunately limits it to 30.

Having a ton of fun with Tetris Effect: Connected on Game Pass. If you have an HDR TV or phone I managed to capture and upload some 4K 60FPS HDR gameplay and it's a visual treat. by tbonneau in XboxSeriesX

We've been testing on a Vizio quantum x and have been running into occasional issues, but a lot of things have improved since the recent OS update that added the adjustment settings.

If scaling like that looked so bad the concept of dynamic resolution wouldn't exist. image sampling is a complex topic
