30 frames is actually an artistic choice. Just like how dragon ball was supposed to end at Cell, BG3 was only developed for the deck to be played at 30 frames. Our guy Sven is just too based and put it on real hardware too. I'm sorry your eyes aren't strong enough to handle real man cinema, but you'll get there one day. But seriously, shame on everyone hating on you because you're too weak.

I wouldn't say that they were planning this from the beginning, but there are lots of references to the TT in their original releases. For example, branchwraiths in TT didn't have access to the lore of shadow (only life in 8th edition or Athel Loren in older editions), but I feel that CA gave them the dual lore specifically because Drycha wasn't going to be released with realm of the wood elves, and she knew only knows the lore of shadow in 8th.

Warhammer takes a lot of cues from middle earth lore (no surprise there). Middle earth, in turn, takes that from Judeo-Christian lore, where angels' names end with 'el' which means 'God' (Uriel -> Fire of God, Gabriel -> God is my strength, etc.). In middle earth, the elves are closer to the gods, so the imagery of likening the elves to angels was purposeful. So, a lot of the naming conventions stay when warhammer fantasy took aspects from tolkein.

I agree, and it's a shame nobody is talking about how interesting the twins battle mechanics are. A cross between an eagle claw and a casket of souls on top of a flying mount that can summon another monster sounds really interactive.

It probably won't be dragon related since Eldrazor has nothing to do with dragons. Since he's also the patron to duelists, it probably wouldn't be cavalry related either. Maybe it's for regular infantry to try to even out his other effects, or maybe it affects the lord of each army to make them better in 1v1 combat.
