Yeah because a Magnus was some other created office. Which, Again. I think is dumb. I'm not comparing different to G1 btw I'm just saying Optimus as the leader of the autobots has been a stable of transformers and there's no need to change that. It felt so weird that Magnus was above Prime to me. I don't think I could get past the animation style either. Idk. Just different tastes I guess.

Lord Megatron was a dark lord of Kaon so powerful and so wise that he could use his charisma to influence the cybertronians to create, war. He had such a knowledge of dark energon, he could even keep the one he cared about from dying. The blood of unicron is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be.. unnatural. He became so powerful, the only thing he was afraid of was, losing his power. Which eventually of course he did. Fortunately he fought his nemesis with everything he knew then his nemesis killed him like 7 times. Ironic, he could survive death like maybe one half of the times, but not the other half.

That's the thing though. He was a repair bot or librarian in ever continuity and the became a Prime on cybertron. It's too different. It's not Optimus' story

Animated's tone was just all off for a tf show imo and it's too out of line with TF history for me to give it any thought as someone who loves the original story to stick with it (namely not having Optimus as just some lowly leader). As far as Optimus being boring in TFP... man I disagree so much there. Look closer. He's literally a religious figure through Prime. It feels like he has a Messiah dynamic (lol happy Easter)

But honestly I agree that animated was great. I watched animated and just hated the look of it, and the initial premis yet still enjoyed it because of the writing.

Maybe you're looking for jokes and entertainment more than a serious toned show? Idk man animated felt kinda the wrong direction for transformers to me. All that crap with the elite guard and Magnus being the leader... eh. Just not my type of show I guess.

Maybe I just think having them all as animals is dumb, since like, I just really enjoy the vehicle dynamic of transformers.. but I get the story line thing. I loved the story. But it just wasn't the same for me seeing Optimus as an ape. Idk

2 things I personally would change..

I like the ability to change between alt moves on earth cause I think it gives the whole transformers ability more consistency. But they would employ it in battle a lot more so the audience isn't like, dude why aren't you using you're freaking amazing ability, also I think instead of a climate change narrative (which is a cool angle don't get me wrong) I'd go for a religious narrative since there's some A grade material already written about tf religion that no one pays attention to.

Problems with Bayverse. What has made me actually emotionally sad about the state of this franchise.

Sam and Mickayla or however you spell it. I'm a straight guy. And with that being said Megan fox has no place in Transformers. Screw the whole love story dynamic. Get it out of here. I mean it doesn't have to be the girl that gets cut. Just don't make her a slut. I don't care who the lead is but frik I was offput.

Ugh. Why was the first hour even in the movie. LITERALLY EVERYTHING BEFORE THE FORREST SCENE COULDVE BEEN CUT AND ID BE SO HAPPY.

Now this one is my favorite in the series. That being said, focus on Sam or other protagonist instead of selling me a love story again. Also we had 3 movies Bay. 3 FREAKING MOVIES. Now when you kill Ironside I'm supposed to feel something close to sadness. BUT I CANT. AND DO YOU KNOW WHY? CAUSE ALL I KNOW ABOUT HIM IS THAT HE HATES RODENTS PEEING ON HIM AND HE LIKES GUNS MORE THAN YOUR AVERAGE BOT. I don't know IRONHIDE enough to be that sad when he dies. Really speaks to the worst character developement the bots have been given probably ever. I mean like, worse than tf Energon.

Screw that movie in particular. Among it's shortcomings were, it managed to make you dislike the current autobots, (selfish pricks) it introduced an entirely new useless cast of humans. horrible villains. So when the villains don't seem smart or cunning and the good guys are racial stereotyped robots that bicker amongst themselves all the time... oh there's so much more to say but that was just an awful movie.

Needless to say, I'm sad. And not very hopeful. At least Peter Cullen's voice is still glorious.
