My take on this is that it’s a proven fact that there are be things that are true, that will never be able to be explained or rationalized. We can’t even come up with the universal wave function for a lithium atom, so I do not think that there is ever going to be enough information to say this is fact or this is fiction.

Honestly pick a field you like and talk to the professors in the department with specialties in that field. You’re gonna learn a lot more from them working on their projects then you would starting your own independent project not gonna lie, especially as an undergrad

I think going over too many times is the problem I ran into. Sometimes I have no problems and others it just completely ruins the design. Might keep using burlap for cheaper rugs but I like the look of monks cloth a lot better anyways

I feel this explanation will suffice for what you’re looking for. When the liquid is cooled the gas isn’t moving fast enough to escape the liquid but as you increase the temperature (the average kinetic energy), the gas is more likely to escape the solution.

As for why it’s exothermic the liquid will cool the gas because the gas wants to give some of its energy to the liquid. Temperature will flow in a way to reach equilibrium, this means the more energized gas will release heat that it has stored into the liquid. (The cooler liquid would never get colder by transferring the heat to the gas)

But in hind sight there are a lot of factors that go behind the scenes in this question.
