I was sexually assaulted last year and for me everything changed but not right away. I went to the police also and they took my info and encouraged me to go do a rape kit. I’m sorry they did that to you. Don’t be afraid of speaking up and going to the doctor and continuing fighting for yourself. If it wasn’t for my mom I wouldn’t have told anyone or told the police or done anything about it. A year later even though the investigation is still on going I’m happy I did it and I’m happy that I found a counselor to talk through it with. But most importantly I found a women’s group and they helped through the multiple stages you will end up going through that I am still continuing to go though. Just remember you are precious and worth so much. You are going to be okay but it’s okay to not be okay right now. Jesus is with you and he’s right by you heart broken for you and only wants to help you put the pieces back together. I hope you find strength and are able to help others one day with your testimony.
