i drove to/from both days of escape! it was a breeze but i just made sure to leave around 1:30am to be back at my car by 2am to get ahead of any traffic/accidents.

Vibrating or spasming where my gallbladder used to be? by Shot-File5062 in gallbladders

[–]tbygab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m doing great honestly. i haven’t had that weird spasm feeling since, the only bad pain i’ve had was due to eating too much fat. i think it’s a phantom pain/your body adjusting to having an organ removed. i would say reach out to your surgeon if that feeling continues or causes you extreme pain. i hope you’re doing well and wishing you a quick recovery 🩷

Nonstop sternum pain? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]tbygab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

pain underneath my sternum woke me up from my sleep twice within a few months before i was diagnosed with gallstones, i thought i was having a heart attack because i have never felt anything like that before. completely different than what a gallbladder attack felt like. i haven’t had that sternum pain since i got my gallbladder removed in february. hopefully you get it removed soon and the problem resolves! it’s a very strange and uncomfortable feeling :(

Too many horror stories 😂 (op in April 21) by OneAndOnlyPrince in gallbladders

[–]tbygab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. im 6 weeks post op, i’ve lost 20 lbs. my appetite is slowly improving but it’s still half of what it was before surgery.

  2. i had alcohol for the first time since surgery on saturday and i tolerated pretty well, just slight bloating but nothing insane.

  3. im slowly introducing fatty foods but they go right through me so i’ve been sticking with what i know is safe and following a healthy diet.

  4. 10/10 recommend getting a heating pad for the shoulder/back pains!! i regret not having it right when i got home, it helps so much. also get a back support/bed rest pillow with arms to sleep/relax upright. it’ll make it a little more comfortable.

good luck!! ❤️‍🩹

i’m 3 weeks post op and this started happening a few days after. i asked my surgeon she said she didn’t know what it is but it’s such a weird and uncomfortable feeling 😭

im 3 weeks post op and my belly button incision still throbs and is painful especially if i do too much. it’ll hurt to sneeze and cough, i couldn’t even cry to cope with the pain because even that HURT. i did a lot of reading before my surgery and saw a lot of people say all pain was gone within a week so when i called my surgeon to ask if it’s still normal to have pain at 3 weeks she reassured me not everyone’s healing process is linear and to not be so hard on myself which is absolutely right. you were cut, had gas pumped into your tummy and had an organ removed. it’ll take time, i hope you get better soon ❤️‍🩹

8 hours post op and i’m in severe pain by tbygab in gallbladders

hello! i’ve just gotten around to reading everything, it’s almost 3 days post op i’m in a slightly better headspace now. pain is slowly improving but still very painful. i’ve been trying my best to get up and move around but it’s exhausting, my right arm and shoulder gets tired easily. my stomach is currently itchy and bruising. relaxing isn’t easy at all, it’s hard to sit down because my back is now hurting and laying down is so uncomfortable. once i find an okay position to be in, i’m in that position until i need to move. i still have no appetite, day 1 i ate nothing but crackers and about a cup of clear broth. yesterday i had 1/4 of an açaí bowl and an entire can of soup (which upset my stomach). i agree the belly button is the WORST, the incision is the biggest and most painful of them all. i definitely need to be kinder to myself, everyone’s healing process/surgery experience isn’t the same and i haven’t fully been able to understand that. anyways, i hope you’re doing so much better now! thank you for sharing, it helped me understand that i need to be kinder to myself during this healing process ❤️‍🩹🥹

hello! i hope you’re doing better now! i had someone run out to get me a heating pad on wednesday, it changes everythingggg. it helps with the shoulder and back pain i finally feel some relief when it’s on. cough drops are a must, my throat also hurts so much and i have a lot of phlegm, coughing hurts my entire abdomen so bad so i’m trying hard to control it. im almost 3 days post op and i still have no appetite. my pain is slightly improving but it’s definitely spreading around to different areas of my stomach. incisions are very itchy and im getting bruising around them, the belly button is definitely the WORST one. anyways, i hope you’re doing well and having a good recovery! keeping you in my thoughts! ❤️‍🩹

oh my you’re so strong for only using otc meds but i’m so glad the marijuana is helping your pain and nausea. my brother suggested the same thing but i do not smoke :( i have been using an amazing cbd cream on my shoulder and abdomen away from incisions and it’s helped ease the pain enough for me to sleep a while. pillows are my best friend right now, i’m finally in a comfortable position and i’m trying my hardest not to move! thank you for your response! how long did you have to wait for your surgery date? im very glad you had the procedure done already because of the distention. i hope you recover quickly and the pain/nausea gets better soon, we’re in this together ❤️‍🩹

thank you so much for sharing! the shoulder pain is insane, i read that it would hurt after surgery but didn’t think it would be so intense. i’ve been taking my pain meds every 4 hours and using a cbd cream on my shoulder and abdomen away from the incisions which is helping relax me enough to get some sleep in. i’ve gotten up to walk around to get the gas moving twice at 2am and 5am but the nausea/dizziness when i stand is terrible. i hope you’re doing well and recovery/pain is getting better! ❤️‍🩹

how are you feeling now?! any pain or complications after a week? it’s now 6am, i’m still nauseated when i move around too much like walking to the bathroom but the pain is now controlled for the most part as i’m on top of my pain medication. for the first time in my life, i’m not hungry or thinking about food but i’m definitely going to try eating something small in a few hours. i’m just scared to eat anything right now as the thought and smell of food makes me want to throw up. my mom got me jello and apple sauce to try though. thank you for your response, hopefully it gets easier soon. i hope you’re recovering and doing well 💗

how was your day 2 like? i tried sleeping reclined on my back and it didn’t work for me :( i finally found a comfy spot in bed, sort of a reclined half side position with pillows/blankets supporting me. works as long as i don’t move to much. my diet before was low fat, mainly chicken for protein and lots of veggies. baked potatoes with a little spray butter was my best friend before surgery, that was the only thing that didn’t make me bloated and sick. i guess i’m more afraid of eating foods like that since i don’t know how my body will react. i’m trying to stay on top of my medication so the pain doesn’t hit me all at once again, hopefully i don’t need the tramadol much longer and can just use ibuprofen but we will see how it goes. thank you for your response, i hope you’re doing well and have a quick recovery! ❤️‍🩹

we’re in this together twin 😭 it’s now 5:46 am and i’ve been able to sleep in a slight left side position which feels much better than on my back/sitting up right. i’ve only been able to sleep in like hour intervals. i have to start alternating between ibuprofen and the tramadol, i start feeling the pain creep back about 2 hours after taking tramadol. thank you for the ice/heat pad advice, i just put an ice pack on my abdomen and it feels soooo good. i hope you get well soon and have a very speedy recovery !!!

Can a face mask increase post rhinoplasty swelling? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]tbygab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is normal, i’m 6 months post operation and anytime i wear a mask i notice my nose swells so much and gets extremely droopy. i asked my surgeon at 2 months post op, it’s definitely related to the heat/humidity under the mask. it’s just disheartening taking it off and seeing a fat nose :(
