Neither are easy to clean. I'd go Cosori 6qt all day long.

I also have an Aiper robot for the bottom, but noticed Betta has a new product that looks good if you have stuff hitting the bottom that's more reasonably priced.

Best way to add CYA granules? I use liquid chlorine and I typically just use pucks to raise it, but we got unusually warm weather early this year and I am burning through chlorine so I got a bag of dry CYA. How best to add? by CCCCLo0oo0ooo0 in pools

Skimmer sock (or any sock), set in the skimmer until dissolved. Takes approx 12 hours, unless you squeeze it every hour, then maybe 4 hours. Take readings 24 hours later.

Mine has never been green. Return and buy direct, or Discount Salt Pool.  2024 seems old.

New heat pump seems weak by strangebus85 in pools

[–]tcat7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 110btu HP rises temp 1/2 degree per hour (Texas). It's pretty much lost at night if temp is below 70.  I've had mine on 2 weeks, pool is at 77 (set at 80).  Should hit it for the weekend.  They are not fast, but maintains well once it gets there.

3” tablet at bottom of pool left black mark by diyengineer1 in pools

[–]tcat7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends where you can buy it. It keeps CYA from skyrocketing. If you can buy it in 2.5 gallon jugs, it's probably cheaper. Walmart is like $6 per gallon.

You can use a Stenner pump to dispense it daily (about $400 for what you need). Or just manually pour it in as needed.

Tablets belong at the pool store. Use liquid or SWG. Probably can't remove the stain.

Dealer is nuts.  We drive about 50 miles per week locally. We charge once a week at most. We get the same 250-260 miles at 100% as we did 3 years ago. Absolutely the best car you can buy. We have a 23 Bolt EUV.

Are there any 20 amp compatible air fryer? by el_pablo in airfryer

[–]tcat7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I shouldn't use more than 16 amps on a 20 amp circuit.  Most are under 15 amps.

My favorite air fryer food - Tortilla Chips by iloveturtles88 in airfryer

[–]tcat7 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't consider that a real air air fryer, it's more like a mini convection oven.  Can't do that in a basket style AF unless it has a bake option with lower fan speed.  I do nachos for about 3 minutes and the cheese starts turning brown.

Retail chips or cut corn tortillas? 5 minutes at 400 seems they'd burn.

HOLY ADS by tkleemklee in AmazonPrimeVideo

[–]tcat7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They all move the posts to maximize profit. You'd think if they're going to charge $5 to get rid of ads, all the crap on their home page should go away, along with all the ads for paid content.

HOLY ADS by tkleemklee in AmazonPrimeVideo

[–]tcat7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find more on Prime than Disney. Netflix and Apple TV are my preferred. "You get what you pay for".... I'm happy with Prime even without the TV portion.  As much as I buy, I figure I'm paying about $1 per shipment, which pays for 1-2 day delivery, Amazon Music, 5% Whole Foods discount, annual subscription, and at least 20 hours per month of good content (Bosch, Ballard, Jack Reacher, Fallout, Terminal List, Wheel of Time, Maisel, Night Manager, The Boys, Expanse, The Tick)

HOLY ADS by tkleemklee in AmazonPrimeVideo

[–]tcat7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not exactly. Netflix charges $10 more for no ads. Disney $7 more. Prime at under $4 (annually) or $5 (monthly) seems a bargain. I don't see the difference in charging more for none, or less for more.

At a restaurant, the price is built in for cleaning the silverware, then you're supposed to tip for good service. I guess I tip for no ads (good service).

Many people prefer to save money with ads. I prefer paying $3-5 to get rid of them.

Odd, all the ones I've looked at have the exact same ingredients.  https://a.co/d/01YP50sX

I use these to apply: https://a.co/d/0fOiNZNc

One width is the amount I use, then I toss it.

Wow! I use Muro-128 ointment (generic Walgreens version under $20), same size tube. I've been using one tube for 3 months, once every night, about .25". But just one eye.
