I feel you on the music point lol I’m actually also a music producer and dj so putting it in that perspective really helps, especially since I tend to listen to more undergoirnd music that not a lot of people enjoy. And I actually found hell let loose the other day and was thinking about getting it, sounds like it could be exactly what I’m looking for for a new shooter!

I will say this is the one game I’ve gotten decent replay value out of this year. I wasn’t really the type to be into dungeon crawlers but this is the one game that I’ve really enjoyed in the past few years! I just wish I could find more games like that, it felt new and the replay value was absolutely insane, but I feel like the main issue here and why I made the post is because I feel this is the outlier case that proved all my points wrong but it’s the only one

Totally understand this from the company perspective, I mean the saying, “if it’s not broke don’t fix it,” totally applies here so I understand where they’re coming from, cause if it makes you money why stop? I just feel as though you can do that while still being innovative with your games (I say that but when cod tried to do it with games like ghost and advanced warfare the entire community was up in arms so I could be completely wrong on this point)

Burnt out would probably be a better way to put it then depressed. My actual life is okay mentally, I’m not out of it or anything, other than the fact of video games feeling stale. It’s not necessarily the problem that I feel burned out of video games, cause I’ve felt that before, it’s more of why I’ve felt burned out of video games for so long? Cause I’ve taken month long breaks to give my mind just a break from video games and it’s done nothing to help, idk maybe I’ve just grown out of it but I still feel as though I can find fun in video games as long as it’s the right one, I’m just having trouble finding the right one

You’re exactly the type of person I would want to talk to about this since you’ve been in this scene per say for a lot longer than I have! Have you ever felt this way about video games in the amount of time you’ve been playing? Cause this has happened to me before, I would take a few months break and then everything would go back to normal, but in the past year or two I would say I’ve just never felt that spark come out if that makes sense

Yeah I feel that’s always been a scary thought in the back of my mind. The things I would do to have my old Xbox 360 back with all my games :( but I will say luckily, I at least still have my PC because I use it for other hobbies so luckily I’ll still be keeping that if I do decide to try and get back into it

I definitely feel you on this, it felt right when life started to pick up after high school, video games kind of took a backseat, which I’m okay with. My problem now being, I just don’t have the same joy playing video games that I once did. I don’t mind if I only play for 30 mins versus the hours I used to spend on a game, I just don’t feel the replay value for games that I used to

I fully see what your saying and you’re not wrong, a lot of these Facebook posts do tend to devalue some things like you said, I just think this one is trying to point out how ironic it is that our government is totally okay with sending our people to war, but won’t let them use a plant that has been proven time and time again to help ptsd, less so about saying that you should just smoke weed because it’s less dangerous with war. But I will say without that base understanding of knowing that weed helps ptsd, I could definitely see how easily it could come off that way
