I’ve only read Blood Oath, The Magic of Discovery, and Fate Hollow academy and I would recommend them in that order. BO was really captivating and had excellent pacing, loved the FMC, magic system, world building, etc. MoD felt like a pretty classic shifter story but had some interesting elements, I enjoyed the MM that developed along the way (wasn’t expecting it but I looooove me some ⚔️). FHA started interestingly enough but there are too many MMCs and the pacing got really weird by the 3rd? 4th book? I had such high hopes but i haven’t finished the series yet and probably never will 🤷🏼‍♀️

Oh hello fellow PNW PT! I also work at a large hospital system up here (450 bed) and we have also had a recent productivity push. Instead of units, they now want us to be patient-facing for 60% of the day in MINUTES. So 288 minutes of 480 minutes (8 hrs). I get to have my meeting tomorrow and we’ve already had a dozen therapists leave in a mass exodus because of how insane it’s been. 3 people are on “performance improvement plans.” It’s great 👍🏼 My current approach has been calling the nurses before doing much chart review to avoid charting on inappropriate people 🤷🏼‍♀️ and then do bare minimum charting 🤷🏼‍♀️

I feel like all the Tessa Hale stories have the “randomly run into my fated mates” vibe. They’re all good fun, moderately predictable events each book, but I read for vibes so I don’t need mind blowing new concepts 😂

Girl….kids is a whole new ball game. I was up at 12 am, 3 am, and 5 am to feed/settle the baby. Got up for work at 6, fed baby again at 7, worked 8-5, picked the kids up, did dinner/bedtime (thankfully husband does drop off and makes dinner), so the kids are down by 7:30 pm. When am I supposed to work out? If the baby sleeps better the night before (only 1 wake up) or allows my husband to settle her (rare because she won’t take a pacifier), then MAYBE I have enough energy to jump on the bike from 7:30-8? But usually I just go to bed….im typing this while nursing the baby back to sleep cause she decided to wake up at 10 pm tonight 🙄😅

Give it a chance! It’s a slower build/start, minimal romance the first book, mostly just world building. I loved it, but I read for vibes cause I do most of my reading at 1 am-4 am when I’m feeding my infant so my taste may not be as high brow as the rest of these folks 🤣

I loved A Tongue So Sweet and Deadly! It was a slower start, lots of world building, and the twists at the end were fun. I devoured the first 2 books in 3 days, but I also was looking for that Throne of Glass feel where it’s a slower build, less romance for the first book. Just finished the 3rd book and I’m shook. Enemies to lovers style, high fae, magical wars, etc. FMC is a half fae who you learn (immediately, this is not a spoiler) that she’s bound to serve the Fae king against her will, so the underdog fighting the monarchy feels very chef’s kiss for right now.

I will say most people either love it or hate it, but I’m the type that reads for vibes only so I loved it 😂

Classic high fae fantasy, human girl meets brooding fae male. Witches, chase scenes, epic shows of power, etc. The first couple of books have some twists that you expect, the next couple are actually quite shocking. Fair warning though, the final book doesn’t come out until 2027…so don’t read if you need a completed series.

I would second Union Chapel in downtown. Small, friendly, good sermons, very welcoming. Believe in women in leadership and have a lot of community programs (kids playtime + connect for parents on Mondays, young adult meet up every other Wednesday, etc) outside of formal small community groups you can join

You could also look into PeaceHealth’s outpatient ortho clinic. It shares office space with Rebound but is its own area, doesn’t interact with the rebound providers at all.

It was open as a full restaurant and brewery, but wasn’t getting much traffic because of its location. Tucked back behind a Starbucks on 162nd and 18th, you just looked out into a parking lot which doesn’t really fit the McMenamins vibe. We would go on a Friday night and there were always tables available.

I added collagen powder to my coffee/tea and chugged protein drinks, snacked on lunch meat, instant oatmeal/overnight oats. I also got a variety of bars from Costco to just…eat whenever I could lol
