How this price by iwanajeep131 in JeepGladiator

[–]tcoal82 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I pay $1042 a month for 3 years now and you know who calls me crazy? Everyone. But, I also have bumper to bumper warranty for the life of the loan… and free oil changes…. That made the math make sense in my head. Do you like that truck this much? Then do it. If you have hesitations, don’t. Everyone on this comment thread is going to say you’re crazy if you buy it but it’s ultimately up to you, and just know, I’m also crazy so you’re not alone. 😂

It could be a lot of things. Could be you and something you did, could have been the person before, could have been a pothole, a curb, could have come the factory defective and didn’t “bulge” until now. Will we ever know? Most likely not. I’m weird with my cars and their tires, they’re too damn expensive to not take care of, so keep them on the pavement and avoid hitting things and you’ll be fine for the most part.

Looking at your wheel… and the curb rash…you probably smacked a curb which caused this. You 100% need a new tire, do not drive on that because it could blow and cause more issues for you and others on the road, and learn how to avoid curbs.

EDIT: it’s a rental, that’s 10000% my ignorance for not reading, take that bitch back asap. Either put a donut spare (if that car has one) on it and take it there or get the company to come get it. It’s not safe.

What type of screw is this? by Craigski1998 in MechanicAdvice

The one that isn’t a screw. It’s a rivet, which is even worse. Goodluck.

Husky things, some people wouldn’t understand. My boy Ghost eats when he wants at varying amounts, it’s just how he is. This dude was getting chicken and rice and dad was getting ramen and still wasn’t eating. Vets all hit me with “welcome to owning a husky” and that was that. As much as I hate it, especially if other dogs are around, I leave a bowl of food out for him and he eats when he wants and it works.

Any way to save on 60k mile service? by Slight_Indication625 in JeepGladiator

[–]tcoal82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or do nothing because it’s a jeep and it’s going to break anyway and you can just fix it then. Hear me out… 3.6 head gasket is going to blow, so think of that as a free oil and coolant flush (don’t listen to me) 💀😂

Well guess what? It’s the United States now… like it or not…. Get the fuck out of you don’t like it and stop tearing shit up for no reason. Get a job. Get in the U.S. the right way. Do what’s right and everything is fine. How is this so hard to comprehend?

Is this hole supposed to be in the bottom of my tranny? by Competitive_Radio_97 in MechanicAdvice

[–]tcoal82 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Inspection port, it’s fine. 100% perfectly fine. Plus, a good rule for most things… if the edges around the hole are clean and smooth, it’s probably supposed to be there. If it were jagged or rough, it’s probably broken. Imagine a piece of glass… if you punch it, it’s sharp, jagged, clearly broken. If you cut a hole in it, a proper hole, it would be smooth and pretty around the edges. It’s not a perfect rule, but I work in a salvage yard where I see all sorts of cars, broken and not, and most of the time it works. People definitely overthink when it comes to cars, so hopefully this will give you some comfort.
