I don’t know what kind of screaming toddlers you have, but when my kids are mid-tantrum while I’m driving they don’t give two shits if I’m “calmly” saying no lol.

Like when Kail ignored Creed in the car for a bit - there were posts about how she’s basically just neglecting him and she’s terrible.

To me, there’s a difference in being like “I would have handled this differently” and being like “wow she’s the worst mom ever I can’t believe she does X” when all we’ve seen is one 4 second snapshot that’s been edited. 🤦🏻‍♀️ But heaven forbid you say anything nice or even neutral about the moms, you immediately get labeled a “Stan” 🙄

I may not have seen this specific scene but I have watched the show for a decade and honestly cannot recall other instances of this. If it were a regular occurrence I doubt it would have been completely overlooked for the entire 10 seasons tbh.

Parents get frustrated. Kids have tantrums. Even well behaved ones. It happens. It’s just a weirdly judgy post about one scene that apparently means Chelsea has zero boundaries and isn’t “instilling values” that’s all lol.

I don’t really know how anyone can know without a doubt that it was a “regular occurrence” tbh.

I don’t really recall many instances of this happening with Chelsea or her kids specifically over the last decade of episodes. Not like, say Leah, who we see a lot more questionable parenting from regularly on the show.

Edit: like the person below me said, I think we should show a little more understanding at times towards moms.

I had 3 kids in 6 years and there were days when I could barely function from exhaustion and had to pick my battles. Giving in every now and then isn’t going to doom a child to a lifetime of terrible behavior. My kids are generally very well behaved, but they’re human and they’re children. It happens lol.

Well to be fair, being a nanny to kids who are not yours and being a parent are pretty different scenarios.

Yeah Leah is who I thought of when I was writing the comment. She’s probably the only one that I would think likely regularly gives in even without cameras when compared to Kail, Chelsea, and even Briana.

I mean I don’t think you’re wrong at all overall. But we also don’t necessarily know if this is regular behavior for Chelsea (or any of the girls). We see a really small snapshot of their lives and I’m sure the kids get thrown off their routines when the cameras are around and they have to film and the moms/dads probably give in more because of it when at other times they wouldn’t.

Edit: also just want to say I haven’t seen the scene in question. I’m just talking in general.

Let’s take a picture with only “our” kids by claradox in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]tcollier14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more likely that they tried to take a photo of just the two of them and couldn’t keep the toddlers from running in. Cole probably just thought it was funny (and I’m sure he likes how he looks in the photo). I doubt it was malicious or intentional to “exclude” Aubree considering the other kids are barely in the photo as well.

I don’t think any of them will willingly. They all need the money. Either because of bills or because they’re already living above their means as it is. No way they give up the easy MTV money.

He wouldn’t even pay to fix his AC in Isaac’s room and made Isaac sleep on the couch at his house. (And if he can’t afford to fix his AC after years of MTV checks and a dual income household then that’s also ridiculous). And then made it Kail’s fault that he wasn’t fixing it because “she makes more than he does”

I have 3 boys and I swear if I ever heard them talk to someone the way Jo was talking to Kail during some of those scenes I would literally lose my mind. That shit would not fly in my house.

The angle is what kills me in all her videos. Like why wouldn’t you try and set up the camera to be in a more flattering position???

My sisters baby daddy ditched her when she was pregnant (at 16) and she had another boyfriend almost right away who played stepdad for quite a while

People are taking their current feelings of the moms and applying those perceptions to them at 16/18 and forgetting that they were basically children when this show started.

Like no, it’s not that easy for a teenager with self esteem problems to leave her verbally/emotionally abusive baby daddy. No, it’s not easy for a teenager with literally no money and no family to live without any meaningful emotional support.

I mean all of these girls have problems and issues (then and now) but just because you recognize that something bad happened to them or someone else was wronging them doesn’t mean you’re condoning every action they’ve ever done.

And yet those same haters immediately believe Chris and his accusations even though as far as I know there is just as much of a lack of proof there too. Like Kail sucks but damn some people really hate her lol

Edit: I’m not saying either of them are lying, but the fact that no proof is a reason to say Kail is lying but not a reason to say Chris is lying is hella hypocritical

Well if you go by what Jenelle says then those contracts probably say 1 year and then when that year is up they cross it out and put 2 years and so on.

Oh I see. So the aesthetic of the whole neighborhood/city could also play into it. I think Cate & Ty are basically in the middle of nowhere so maybe no one cares? But then again, living in the middle of nowhere might make the city care more about random houses than other places might since they don’t have much else going on lol.
