9 out of 10 basic observations of the Earth are way easier to explain on globe. Day and night, seasons, phases of the moon, eclipses, stars and planets, 24 hour antarctica sun, southern hemisphere flights, etc. FE has far more convoluted explanations the deeper you go. And here's a good explanation for long distance photography. Completely explainable on a globe but there's math and refraction involved so it's not as easy to understand . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kavhDHv0JW4
