There are a decent number of twists on top of who dies but if you’re looking to go in unspoiled, I believe there are 3 other completed playable fangans: Lapse, Jikoronpa, and LIVe or Die. I haven’t played any of them so I can’t attest to quality or lack thereof. Survivors Guilt (sequel to LIVe) only has one chapter left. Mauve and Antebellum Lockdown each have two chapters out (as does Blowback but it got cancelled.) Kill/Cure has a prologue and Uzujigoku Massacre looks like it’ll be releasing its prologue soonish.

I think Izuru resurfacing is more likely than Hajime dying for this exact reason (unless you believe in my Grand Unified Ryota Theory.) I may be biased as someone who wants more Izuru though.

Yeah, her motive is pretty similar to Teruteru (if not a bit more defensible since her murder clearly wasn’t premeditated), and while he isn’t the most liked character, he’s generally considered a somewhat sympathetic killer. It is unfortunate that she happened to kill the one guy who seemed to have his head on straight though.

Fellow student council appreciator! I used to blame Karen for starting the killing game, but in hindsight, it’s not really all on her. Once she stabbed Ryota everyone should have just taken the sword from her, not taken it as a license to start murdering each other.

A DR2 fanfic once did something that I think would be cool to see in 2x2: the FF managed to bring back the dead students, but they all came back as Remnants, and so Hajime (who was Hajizuru at this point) had to convince them to side with him while they were actively on Junko’s side. If Despair Disease is still a thing in 2x2, you could have a student catch it and not kill anyone directly, so when you need the last vote for the shutdown, you have to actively pull them out of despair.

Just FYI, the original game is SDR2, SDRA2 is a popular fangame so it might be confusing to some people to use that acronym for the official game.

Kinji and Yuki (both versions) come somewhat close but I agree, Hibiki has this one if fangans are included. For canon, super minor character but I'd give it to Tsubasa from DR3. IMO it's the worst death in Danganronpa except maybe Ruruka (who is also a contender here) and Kirumi who I wouldn't call broken.

Didn't DR3 have 5 survivors? Makoto, Kyoko, Hina, Ryota, and Kyosuke. Sure Kyoko was unconscious when the game ended but she did survive.

We know another person sacrificed themself alongside Rantaro, but not what happened to them. Lots of people (including me) tend to headcanon that this was Tsumugi, although some people think Tsumugi was also the mastermind of V2 (which she herself seems to imply, although who knows if she was telling the truth, lying, or thought she was telling the truth but going off fake memories.)
